Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The whole season is sh#t. Football is boring without fans and has been ruined by VAR.

Can't be arsed with it and it looks like the players feel the same.

Was a few months ago, what’s your point?

Thought the point was obvious. It's disappointing that we no longer look like we can win matches from losing positions.

Dan Burn is about 6 foot 4 and is rampaging down the wing unmarked.

    Back to the malaise again...

Same issues we've had for over a month. Passing slowly with an extra 3 touches each and lofting slow balls into the box from wide/set pieces. It's like we havn't changed our set pieces despite having a team of short arses playing for 4 months. So frustrating.

And Firmino needs some sort of striking practice, he always wants about 6 touches or the ball to be perfect before trying to shoot. You're 6-10 yards out a miss hit can fly in from that range just pull the trigger!

    This is absolute mince.

Earlier this season, that was a double handball, especially if it hit one of our lot

If he leaves Milner on then I’m sorry, but WAKE UP KLOPP

How did Bobby survive the substitutions?

    No idea.

Puts him arm up there to stop that shot. VAR just ignores it

Has origi had a touch yet?

Jesus you’re clutching there he was a yard away and the ball is travelling

Liverpool really need to sign another right-back in the summer. Trent needs competition.

Trent is gone to the dogs

1 nil down and Bobby gets whipped for a midfielder . He should be looking at himself.

I also can't believe I'm watching origi walk around a pitch again. Sick of it.

I wouldn’t mind but the Brighton keeper looks well dodgy and he’s had nothing to do.

I love Origi and the goals he scored for us but when I see him coming on I just feel the game is over. He offers nothing for the game plan we try and do. He doesn’t have the pace to press and just seems to stand idle or ball watch

You hate Lallana, like why? What did he do that was so bad. Was a good player for us, never did anything to hurt the club and always gave his best.

Because he wasn't good enough and we couldn't win anything with players at his level in squad. Liverpool fans liked him. I Knew he would be a bit part player when we eventually got squad sorted.

Caoimhín the only player who is faultless tonight. Hendo and Nat are OK but the rest deserve a month with the u23s

Moves his arm towards the ball. That's given against us

  • Administrators Posts: 54,110 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Once again it is hard to see where a goal is coming from. We are incredibly poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Robbo has been silent all night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,664 ✭✭✭dirkmeister

This is more likely to end up 0-2 than anything else

Brighton have dropped very deep here

TAA was shaping for a (another shīt cross) cross and Origi planted himself betwee two defenders and never moved.

I think I’ve counted one cross where TAA has loooked up and picked his man, every other cross is needlessly aimless, he doesn’t even look.

We literally won everything with Adam (bar the FA cup, League Cup and Europa)

They are getting better chances .

Last goal at Anfield was Mane's after 12 mins vs WBA? How many years ago was that now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,976 ✭✭✭doc_17

Milner has been brutal. Awful. It’s time to move on from him.

    Except a CL and Premiership

Origi movement and effort just miles off what's required.

Can only speculate that his wages or lack of interest is only reason he is still here. Why he is on the pitch I really don't know.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,522 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

Also 10 attempts. 1 on target. At home v Brighton. Awful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,680 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

Trent made a show of by Dan Byrne again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

I need to know why every cross is hit as slow as possible at head height towards their box. Game goes against us and we fall back to this awful style of play, walking, extra touches, no zip on any passes or crosses.

Ox has been fit for what must be a month now and looks awful every time he's got on. I'll say it again, he's pointless in these games when he has no space to run at or into.

If we have him on the pitch, we need to hit him with the early ball from deep in our half. He's slow over the first few yards, but he's like a freight train when he's gotten up to full speed. I'd love to see us hit him every time there's space just after we've been defending.

If we're gonna play a player who doesn't fit our system, we need to change our system to get more out of him.

And he's made that quick burst run across the defensive line a few times, but so far no one has played the pass.

Well that's the league gone anyway.

    Just not happening.

We just seem to struggle against teams that sit back and play deep.

Keep doing the same thing. No spark or imagination.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,798 ✭✭✭✭DrumSteve

Same old story all the time.

Literally every team we play against plays this way against us, and it works every ****ing time! **** this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,317 ✭✭✭ratracer

Milner at least tries, but age is catching up with him!

Ox, Origi, Shaq offer nothing and need to be moved out.

Trent and Robbo smugly knowing they are on the team sheet every week.

I know the team can’t keep up the level of performance of the last three years, but this is dreadful!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Akabusi

I’m more disappointed in Ox’s performance we know Origi is not at the required level, but before his injuries Ox was a good player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,805 ✭✭✭mightyreds

Well that's the league gone anyway.

Was looking forward to a big game against city at the weekend, pretty pointless now for us

    Divock actively sabotaging now.

Fair to say we aren't winning the PL this season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,564 ✭✭✭RugbyLover123

Beginning to think Didi Hamann’s comments on Thiago may not be far off.. the West Ham game aside our build up play has been slow and ponderous since he’s come into the side.

Now I’m not saying that’s all down to him, but could be something to it. We badly miss Hendo and Fab in midfield which allows the wing backs to bomb forward at pace and quickly. Those runs beyond the wingers seemed to have disappeared.

Need a no. 9 or Jota to come into that role. Bobby gets away with murder for most of his performances.

Almost 4 years unbeaten at home and then to lose two in a row to Burnley and Brighton.
