We'll be brilliant tonight, we seem to be turning up for the bigger games this season.

Yeah I thought you were right, we show up when the challenge is there. Our comebacks from 1 nil down show a conservative "reserve our energy" approach to our first halves against lesser quality opposition.

We're playing like champions, winning without top players, winning against the major competitors, winning from losing positions. I'm happy when we get a decent first 11 out. Top of the table by 3 points? Words fail me.

    2-1 win.
    Top of the league.
    Keys bitter.
    Mourinho salty.

    We're clearly unbearable tonight.

    Love it.

No better way to beat that team and their tactics.
A joyous goal if ever there was one!
The Kop knew who scored as the gleam of teeth ran the length of the field towards them.
    So many positives.
Gini, Jones Hendo, Bossed the game.

Great result, a bit of daylight at the top and Mourinho beaten again.
    What a great night !!!

Too much on here already about Jose... fvxkin ignore him lads - WBA sacked Bilic today after a similar game plan against City last night, and he got a draw

Your teams aren't as good as Liverpool. Fact.

Take your tantrums and move along.

Liverpool have had a load of injuries, a couple of very dour performances, gotten the spikey end of the stick on 99% of VAR decisions and they haven't taken enough of an advantage of that so far this season.

Right team won lads, best of luck for rest of season

Very disappointing not to have had a real go at your weakened defence.

Spurs with the players they have should have went toe to toe with us especially with our makeshift defence... at least should have thrown a few up the pitch...

Mourinho is kinda lucky that there's no fans in the stadium, I dont think he'd get away with sitting so deep in games.. but I guess if fans are happy with the end results it's fair enough!

Just realized that those three points puts us four clear of Southampton:)

Curtis Jones is going to be a top top player as they say. Still gets a bit tired late in games but understandable for a youngster.

And there's the difference in class.

Klopp just leaves the question about what was said alone. Didn't bite.

    My manager.

I thought we played really well tonight, regardless of the result. And a big reason for that is that Bobby played great.

Robertson is also having a fantastic season

Cut from the same cloth, come across as deeply insecure and petulant men - can't handle the positivity and success that Klopp
Exudes as it heightens their own sense of weakness

I always prefer your enemies in plain sight, Tyler pretends he's neutral but his anti-Liverpool bias is so strong he can't hide it. Keyes is only sore because of his idiotic Everton comment that he keeps getting ripped up on years later. He's largely inconsequential having been demoted to whatever circle of hell he's presenting from nowadays but Tyler I can't escape.

We were lucky as Bergwijn had two good chances and Kane had that header as well. On the other hand we had 2 19 year old's playing and was missing an impact from the bench. I don't think we should underestimate the impact of not having Thiago, Ox or Keita available as the bring something different to the team. Also, if you give the other team 76% possession you cannot complain if you don't take your chances and the other team does.

Back on top again feels great and I hope this will give us momentum for a push to create a gap again. We can beat the chasers mentally if we can get on a good run. Just this next match Saturday lunchtime, again, and we have a little break. Hopefully we will not have more injuries due to the playing schedule.

You could imagine a player like Harvey Elliot being a flash in the pan. We've had plenty of players who've looked bright at an early age only to fizzle.

But that's not really what Curtis looks like at all. He hasn't been doing keepy uppies, or scoring the odd banger. He's been doing a sort of James Milner impression in his steadiness and consistency throughout the game, which is far, far more impressive.

    I wouldn't call it a lucky win.

On another night our forwards shooting would have been better.

Think it was deserved win and the two young lads did great.
Imagine what we'll be like when players start to come back.

Lol he has to say that. He can't say Liverpool had a 19 year old making his first PL start at CB and a CM at CB and he barely tried to test them and actually went more defensive as the game went on. He has one way to play and he'll be booed out of that new stadium when they get fans back in and watch this for a few months while paying a lot of $$$$$ for the privilege.

Not only PL start... first league start for Rhys.

A 19 year old league debutant and a defensive midfielder filling in, as your centre-half pairing.
    4th and 5th/6th choice.

The much-vaulted Son/Kane partnership gets just the one, dubious (in VAR terms), goal.

Get lost, Jose. No wonder you're deflecting...

    That was glorious!

And Curtis Jones is quietly turning into a most excellent baller.

his touch is unreal... just unlucky not to add goals so far.
Had great run against fulham and keeper saved... had another chance tonight..
it seems he gets a good chance each game.. only a matter of time before he starts getting on the score sheet on a regular basis. Hopefully someone encourages him to do extra training on shooting

he's got everything though and he's not afraid

Oh ye of little faith settling for a draw before tonight (and there was more that a few of ye).

I said I expected a win, never doubt this team at home again.

Some folk not to long ago were saying "if we are 5 points behind at Christmas then that wouldn't be too bad"

Just because Spurs had a couple chances doesn't mean we got lucky, we also hit the woodwork and had half a dozen other opportunities that could've gone in on any given night. This wasn't some defensive masterclass from Spurs that limited our chances, as much as they could've scored a couple we could have had 5 or 6.

Route 1 headers and flick ons are what Spurs chances came from apart from the goal, not like they were soaking up pressure then countering us in style, it was a weak performance from them, we smothered them and dominated them.

Apart from that cool double back heel pass he did around 75 mins tonight! ;)

He actually is maturing every game. Coming deep to demand the ball off of the centre backs tonight I'm the middle of the pitch. He's not just filling the sides of the pitch giving short passed to the 'better' players or big names to do the work, he is roaming around all around midfield taking the ball off of senior players and making things happen. Not afraid to get a shot off either, in the right areas. Previous he was shot heavy but now he picks his moments.

His growth has to be the biggest positive as a result of the injury crisis so far this year.

Imagine shaking hands at the end of the game and saying to the opposite manager that the best team lost, then complain about how people act on the touchline in the interview as well as all the other moans thrown in......classless and a complete hypocrite.

VVD with a shock return to play in February/March , alongside the best cb in the world fabinho, probably dreaming but think vvd can do special things.
