Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The one good thing about Saturday morning games is that if you win you get to sit back and make as many snide comments about other teams as you like without having to worry about your own team's result :p

I could be converted to Saturday 12.30 kick offs after that. Lovely stuff.

That's what was nice about it this time - Palace also played on Wednesday so neither team were advantaged.

Now lets hope Ings gives us a nice Christmas present next.

Then Rodgers to get a draw against Jose.

First game in about 20/25 that I've missed. Got in the door from work at 88 minutes.
    Raging.

This is gonna sound mad considering the 7-0 score line. But the thing i enjoyed the most was no VAR decisions taking the flow out of the game

Yup, 7 goals all properly enjoyed!

I remember beating Palace 9 0. Think it was in 88 or 89 in the fa cup. This current crop has to be considered on a par with that legendary team.

Do yourselves a favour and listen to this commentary

Klopp kept your man at arms length in that interview.

Sit back, relax and watch all our rivals navigate difficult games. Brilliant

Sitting back ready to celebrate some Danny Ings goals now! :)

That’s an impressive result and performance. Absolutely destroyed them.

What a squad of players. They go top and then smash win the next game 7-0.

    Dreamland.

All 7 (seven) goals assisted by different players which is apparently a PL record in a single match.

I've been drinking cider and playing COD all morning and just seen the score, I will delay my reaction to the early matchday result until the morrow, thus avoiding any unnecessary cards.
    until later

Probably mentioned somewhere else, but were the 2 teams shirts very similar colourwise?

Yeah was slightly annoying but obviously didn't effect the players!

Thought the green would have been the better jersey or whatever you call that thing.

Great result, and a long break now. Not even a game Boxing day,
Huge chance now to recharge before getting back at it.

Including the game VVD went off injured Liverpool have played 8 league games and conceded 8 goals scoring 25.

    Fabinho is just amazing.

Saw a wonderful and harrowing stat ...

Today, Liverpool scored 29% of the amount of goals they scored in total under Roy Hodgson.

5 games in the next 28 days throw out a B Team against Villa in the FA Cup that would give them 13 days to prepare for the Man U game.

Is there any news of Thiago returning?

5 games in the next 28 days throw out a B Team against Villa in the FA Cup that would give them 13 days to prepare for the Man U game.

Third round proper: Saturday 9 January 2021
Fourth round proper: Saturday 23 January 2021
Fifth round proper: Wednesday 10 February 2021
    Quarter-finals: Saturday 20 March 2021
    Semi-finals: Saturday 17 April 2021
The Final: Saturday 15 May 2021

If we make the 4th round it would be just before the Tottenham game

If we make the 5th round it would be after city before Leicester and Leipzig.

    Nightmare in my opinion.

I don't buy the argument that some players would need a run out coming back from injury either. 3 lads getting a run out still means a rake of others have to fill out the team.

That was the first time Mane, Salah & Bobby all scored and all assisted in the same league game.

Salah's numbers just get better and better.

Salah has 13 goals in 13 league games along with 3 assists.

Bobby has 5 goals in 13 league games along with 3 assists

Mane has 5 goals in 13 league games along with 3 assists

Jota has 5 goals in 9 league games no assists.

    He's back in light training.

He'll probably start to get some minutes early in January. Maybe the FA cup game against Villa on the 8th.

It'd be great to have him back fully fit for the Spurs game on the 28th.

Sam Allardyce up next at Anfield. Called Jurgen ''a soft German'' bit of history there . Hate facing a team with a new manager, especially that enemy of football.
Hopefully we hit them for 8.

We'll steam roll them and Fab will loaf one of them just to Compound things.

That'll be an awkward match, Allardyce will set them up to frustrate us, won't be pretty, but, we should grind them down. Always hate facing teams with a new manager, there's nearly always a new manager bounce effect.

Sam Allardyce is the last PL manager other then Jurgen to win at Anfield in a few years

Conte drew both his matches as Chelsea manager at Anfield.

Allardyce was the last to win there in 16/17. With Crystal Palace.

I was at that game. The first 3 matches I went to with Klopp in charge were losses. Palace X2 and swansea

Going to risk a ban here because they're easily given out around this place for silly reasons but I have to state how much I dislike Big Sam Allardyce.

Reading that back, I don't see a card in it but you never know, I did refer him to being big.

Glad to see we can call Allardyce this without being carded - fair play mods. Allardyce is a complete Conte in my opinion.
