Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Big Sam wearing a mask exactly how I expected him to.

Furlong is going to give away a Pen today. He's swinging out of Mane everytime the ball comes into the box.

Open season again in Mane, foul away on him, no punishment for the defender, Furlong today, Aurier against Spurs.

Mane basically being wrestled by a defender with 2 arms around his neck and VAR are nowhere to be seen. Jokeshop really.

Jesus this is like a attackers v defenders drill..
What's the deal with Sam's mask. Either wear it properly or take it off.
Wish Hendo would stop with those crosses now

It's pretty clear that on his day Naby is one of the best midfielders in the league, but you can't build a squad around having players being so totally unreliable.

With Jones coming to the fore, I think we have pretty good depth.

What we need is a top class 23 year old in the next year to 18 months that'll be a mainstay as we transition Gini, Milner, Henderson and Thiago out. We need to cut our losses with AOC and Keita. They've the quality to maybe get a decent move elsewhere.

We need to transition Thiago in first!

If I was a WBA fan, I'd rather be relegated than stay up playing like this.

Need a second one before half time

Mane is all over the place today, working hard so he is...

Wouldn’t say we NEED one but it would be nice

One of those Andy crosses has to land at a red shirt sooner or later

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

West Brom already looking like a Big Sam side.

Need another goal as 1-0 is always dangerous. West Brom have done practically nothing but they could always spawn a goal from a set-piece if left in the game.

West Brom will keep playing like this until maybe the last 15 minutes when they might chance a few attacks.

All over these in the first half.

So obviously an equaliser is coming.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,407 ✭✭✭facehugger99

If WBA fluke a result from this, Big Sam's smug fat face is going to make me very angry.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

1 shot on target is dismal being honest but its hard when they are packing the middle......WB still in the game so a second is needed, all it takes is a set piece or dodgy call and they'll be back in it....MOTM so far is whoever shook Alisson awake to tell him its half time.

One of those games where until we get a 2nd you half feel they will nick something from a set-piece or a dodgy VAR penalty.

Mane looks a bit sluggish, too much turkey?

Sauerkraut and brussels sprouts for you sir

    Better team losing

West Brom will tire late on. I expect a few more goals for us in the last 20 minutes if not before that.

Poor start to this half. Giving West Brom some encouragement.

Scratching my head looking at this.
They are s*it..we are good but we are strugglingto put them away.
They can play a bit too.
    Matip's gone

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

Hopefully that's just a blow to his Town Halls.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

    Matip’s prawn cracker durability.

Groin - probably 6 weeks at least

Jaysus. What a great player, but that's shocking durability.

Looked like a problem with the adductor they way the physio was treating him.

    Matip’s prawn cracker durability.

I always said "he's made of biscuits" but same notion.

I hope we get someone in January, Matip will probably get 3 or 4 more injuries this season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

    Wasn’t a foul alright.

Nothing gets Jurgen angrier than injuries.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,407 ✭✭✭facehugger99

I'd be hopeful he's back for the Man Utd match. We can manage with the young lads until then.

Making this harder than it needs to be.
    Salah very quiet...
    Come on redmen...

Trent has been poor, giving the ball away and running straight into defenders

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,692 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

Mané being wrestled but apparently that's allowed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

1st of January we need CB in the door

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

We have been very poor today

This game is asking for Shaqiri as we are looking out wide too often.

    Williams too slow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,692 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

I thought Rhys was quicker? Or is Grant just a speedster?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,305 ✭✭✭Widdensushi

Is Williams as slow as he was made look there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,510 ✭✭✭tinpib

Noticed it in the Spurs game vs Son that sadly Williams has awful pace. Him running reminds me of final season Gerard when his legs had gone. A huge negative against the young lad, unfortunately.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Been a very flat performance all game even allowing for West Brom’s 9 players in their own penalty area. Just a yard slow.

Make a change... Ox or Shaq on... Or both
