Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Leeds doing what we couldn't. Putting WBA to the sword. Hopefully they batter them and their negative football.

Nice to have given West Brom a point in between them getting a couple of sound beatings.

4 and its only half time. Leeds could have the best goal difference by the end of the evening.

4 nil at halftime and we draw 0-0, it would drive you nuts

He doesn't seem to get found out against us too often. Leeds doing what we are capable of doing and should have done last weekend.

Absolutely, that result was all on LFC, and not some amazing Big Sam Masterclass as Was the narrative on the media, Liverpool were poor on the day, and dropped 2 points.

Allardyce probably had them mentally spent to put in that performance against us. They'll be relegated but he'll still be waffling about that result when he's back on Bein Sports with the other two ****.

we have a great record against his sides, he got nothing from us at Everton but draws, we used to torture his Bolton sides. He's got some results but if you have an infinite number of monkeys banging on typewriters, eventually they'll produce the works of Shakespere.
I think it's why he hates us, that and the gra he has for Ferguson.

West Brom much like Fulham & Brighton are three absolutely shìt teams we've dropped points against this season.

They did nothing special against us other than defend deep. We were just poor, and not for the first time this season against poor opposition. Who would have thought we would drop 9 points in 4 games against West Brom, Fulham, Brighton and Villa at the start of the season.

WBA also got a draw against City away from home.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,490 ✭✭✭KevRossi

WBA a bit knackered after playing us 48 hours ago. Mentally as well as physically. Allardyce built them up well for that one match, he just didn't have the ability to keep it going for a second one.

Big Virg isn't the answer this season unless we want to cripple him.

Absolutely, but anyone looking at how any of those teams have performed in their other matches rather than how we performed against them is barking up the wrong tree.

Has there been any official word on when vvd will be back. Be nice if he got the full pre season for next year. Or is that too optimistic

I think the complacent attitude of the team in those games was the reason we didn't win those matches, we didn't really see that last season until after the lockdown when the league was already in the bag. It's results like those that will be looked at if we fall short this season.

Depends on if there's a suspension of the league for any time again or not.

United having that piece of luck to win that we didn't get against West Brom. They could over take us at top if we lose tomorrow, and they win next game.
Need to step the fck up.

Not worried about united, their luck will eventually run out.
    City still the main rivals.

Barely deserved a point? They got 3 and that is all that matters, its a results game

They deserved a point, and probably 3.

Normally I'd say who cares leagues aren't won in December but this thing could be called off at any moment, need to stay top just in case :D

A suspended season would give VVD some time to recover too

Why so negative ???? There is 69 points to play for anything can and will happen with more dropped points

Need to win next 4 league games. That would be the step towards the title .

Absolutely. With injuries I'd have been happy to be within 5 of the top going into 2021.

CL knockouts qualified for too. Perspective!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

They are not a great side but are getting a lot of jammy undeserved late points this season. While we dropped 2 points late at Brighton. Dropped 2 points late to West Brom, etc. Plus our 3 best senior centre halves are all currently injured.

I think we win the league relatively handy in a normal season with a fully fit squad but it’s a strange season and we haven’t had anything close to a fully fit squad this season.

I wouldn't rule out United as contenders yet, they haven't played well at all and are only just behind us, all they need to do is get a lucky result against us and the momentum they could get from it could propel them to the title. As I've said before they're getting the benefit of some dodgy VAR decisions while it's crucifing us. They are probably in a false position, but, all that matters is that they're there now.

Win tomorrow and Ali and Fab get season ending injuries then what is it?

We havent veen great of late bar the Palace game, Lets not foget we are now entering a period of having no senior CBs available,

Honestly i think we have let standards drop this season and wont win it again, Brighton, Fulham & Westbrom games as good references to that

Every team is going to be dropping points as the season goes on Jan/Feb is going to be tough months for Liverpool with the games they have but we just have to wait and see

We need our forwards to start being ruthless. They miss a lot of chances and with the back line as it is it can cost us. Bar Palace they haven't been all season.

The WBA & Fulham games were crying out for Thiago and one of his unlocking passes.

That is what we have been missing.

One defeat in the league and top of the table going into the New Year I'm happy.

So wrong, we need a cb, Williams is not up to it and the worrying thing is he is being picked ahead of Philips

Wonder how will we line up tomorrow night, could milner start? Or Taki come in for Jones?

Evert year eveyone has to wait and see,
But my prediction is Liverpool will not retain the title,
They will be lucky to get 4 points out of the next two games.

If it gets postponed for any decent length of time there has to be a real danger of it not starting again. There just won't be time to fit it all in.
