    Hi,

As new XBOX is coming this XMAS, I want to use this opportunity to upgrade the existing system(s) I have (cleverly).

Let me, please outline what I have at the moment in two places:

    Place one:
TV LG OLED55B7V (ordered from you, three years ago)
    AV Receiver – Onkyo NR-609
Speakers - Monitor Audio Vector 5.1 (ordered from you in January 2012)
Cables - Cambridge Audio Symphony 100 (order from you in January 2012)
    XBOX Series X
    Virgin Media Box

    Place two:
TV LG OLED55B7V (ordered from you, three years ago)
Soundbar - Monitor Audio Soundbar ASB2B (ordered from you in 2016)
    XBOX One S
    Apple TV
    Virgin Media Box

For both places from the above, I would like to have same AV Receiver, with Dolby Atmos, … not too expensive, kind of mid-range similar to one I already have. Also on that one, does it makes sense to change AV receiver in the place one (what I’m getting with new ones)?

For place two, which multi-room system you would recommend (based on the what is already there and potentially AV Receiver in addition)?

    Hi Decus.

Thanks for coming back to us again :)

For the new receiver in place 1 I would check out the Denon AVRX2700 coming in at 629 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-14159-denon-avrx2700-black-dolby-atmos-and-dts-x-av-receiver.aspx

Has everything you will need and more.
It has Heos built in which will allow you to use the Heos multi room speakers if you ever wanted to.

You could also use this receiver in Place 2 and use the Heos multi Room speakers.
Heos Home 150 priced at 229 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-204525-denon-home-150-black-wireless-music-system.aspx

Home 250 priced at 449 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-204526-denon-home-250-black-wireless-music-system.aspx

Yamaha also do an excellent receiver that has the same idea using Yamaha Musiccast.
The RXA680 priced at 579 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203497-yamaha-rxa680-black-atmos-av-receiver.aspx

Then you can add the MusicCast 20 priced at 195 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203532-yamaha-musiccast-20-black-voice-activated-smart-speaker.aspx

Or MusicCast 50 priced at 399 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203568-yamaha-musiccast-50-black-voice-activated-smart-speaker.aspx

You can in-fact incorporate any MusicCast product into the system.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Thank you very much, it is getting interesting :).

A few questions, hope you don't mind my incompetency.

    1. For multi-room setting how proposed options compare to Sonos and what would be your personal order in terms of quality (Sonos - if applicable, Heos Home, MusicCast)

    2. Could Yamaha MusicCast work with Denon AV receiver?

    3. I suppose Denon receiver is better than Yamaha?

    Thanks a lot,
    decus

Thanks for getting back to us decus!

I'll try to answer your questions in order:

    1. Sonos is a fantastic system however my own order would be Musiccast, Sonos then Heos. The Musiccast has a lot more compatible components such as amps, soundbars, turntables, minisystems and wireless speakers and they can all be linked together with the Musiccast app.

    2. None of the systems will work with each other wirelessly, they're all app controlled and will only work within their own system.

    3. The Yamaha RXV6A is actually a fantastic receiver and sounds amazing! It would be quite on par with the AVRX2700!

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David

    Hi,

thanks a lot, will make my mind today.

    One more clarification needed.

Are you referring above to Yamaha RXV6A or RXA680? What is the difference between the two and what would be the price for RXV6A (as originally, RXA680 was recommended)?

    All the best,

    Hi,

I saw that you priced Denon 599 EUR in one of the threads from a few days ago?

    Hi Decus,

the AVRX2700 is as rare as hens teeth at the moment and unfortunately the above pricing is really good - as ever we are happy to price beat if you do see it cheaper subject to our normal T's and C's

    Hi,
Thank you very much for the prompt reply. It seems that I've been unlucky then. :(

I have to buy two, plus speakers, cables, etc. I will wait until the price is in my budget range.

If anything changes on your side, please feel free to contact me. Hopefully, we will be able to do cross-border business with you after New Year.

    All the best,
    decus
