    Hi all

Does anybody know what the story is with this building in Ennis?

Is it completely idle? Would be interested in having a look around and potentially renting a unit if there was a way.. or is it derilect?

    Thanks!

Its a strange one, it (Heather Hill) was partially built during the boom and then abandoned when the crash hit and it was still only partially finished.

Then about three(?) years ago it was sold and then worked on again and completed, at least it looks like it's finished. But I've not seen any signs up up for rental etc.

There's permission sought for an off-licence and I think also a pre-school there but nothing ever seems to actually start.

    Ah interesting, ok.

But depressing that an off-licence etc might be going in there. Thought it looked good as a potential office set up!

Unit 1 was to be a retail unit. Unit 2 an off licence. Last year, a planning application was submitted to Clare. Co. Co. to remove the internal wall between these two units. It was initially refused, but subsequently appealed and then given conditional approval in January this year. This seems to be the last activity.

Here's some details on the units from the property listing when it was being sold. There's intended office suites on the first floor, along with a proposed medical centre. Retail at the front, creche at the back. Obviously none of it has actually been commissioned.

The creche is in use there anyway.
