I have Eir tv past month so I'm now locked to a contract.

I just realized tonight that when I select HD Virgin One is listed but it's dreadful SD and no way HD even though it's advertised and listed as HD.

How can I go about complaining and possibly closing Eir tv it's poor quality

    okay,

1st step contact Eir support. show them where it advertises the channel as HD and explain the quality that you re seeing is not HD.

i had a mosy on over to https://www.eir.ie/tv/channels/ & https://www.eir.ie/tv/about/ I cannot see anything that advertised the TV channels like VM1 as HD? Obviouly things like amazon prime do provide HD and the apple tv box supports this.

So you will need to show that it is advertised somewhere as that. assuming you reach that standard, then you probably need to allow them to rule out technical issues.

Talking about closing your account seems very premature indeed?

I don't know why people just don't get a satellite installation of Freesat and watch ITV and all the others in HD for free. VM is just a bit of ITV with substandard Irish content.

Does show the logo for Virgin Media One HD on their channels list on their website.

and do you think that would form the basis for breaking a legally binding contract?
