Insurance and drink driving

    This is for a mate. Yes I know people will think it's me. He was caught three times over the legal limit. What's the likely cost of insurance post conviction. That's assuming he is convicted. A lot of cases fail I hear. He has an otherwise spotless ten year driving record.

    Could be any amount. No way to know till they look for it. Lots of companies won’t even quote them

    Ah you rushed in with a thanks without at least checking whether there was some truth to it or not!
    A cop once told me there is about twenty points of law to be proven. Nothing to be gained by pleading Guilty straight away .

    Ask your friend to start a thread instead.
    Better yet, see a solicitor.
    Insurance costs will be secondary until he has been to court.
