We rarely get to eat in dublin anymore and are struggling to think of anywhere suitable to go with the kids on a day out to see the Christmas lights? Nothing fancy sadly, they'd be more at home with pizza, chicken sort of thing. Preferably somewhere where we wouldn't be sitting on top of the next table too (just given the current climate). Any recommendations?

Without knowing what part of town, Mad egg, great chicken? Sano is great for pizza. Gotham cafe maybe?

Not sure how they are space wise currently though.

If you’re around Grafton St then Milano on Dawson St or Nandos on Andrew’s St are options if you have kids in tow.

After this year, everyone is trying to head out without their kids!

Anyway, one of the burger places I reckon...Bobos....Counter...or even Pitt Bros solely for being able to pull your own ice cream, though prob not allowed these days....

Huge fan of sano's. Just for once we thought we'd stay closer to grafton st, lights etc. Little legs might be tired. Never even heard of mad egg...googling now

If you are staying around Grafton St, then Wagamama is a good bet.

Was going to say Milano. I've young twins, we were in recently and very kid friendly, loads of highchairs, kids menu they were able to eat from, staff were very good as well tbf.

We've done that every year in the run up to Christmas. Either Gotham Cafe or Milano.

After eating we head for a walk up Grafton St, into the Disney Store and then the inevitable "ah f*** this....c'mon let's go home".

    Much the same experiences here!

Thanks for all the recommendations. We've always gone the pyg restaurant in powerscourt after we see santa. But it's changed to an italian now and compared to Sano, its very expensive. After chats, the kids have voted sano again but we're going to try mad egg in Dundrum another day over Christmas.
