This is something I have been thinking about

How did such a vile man get to 70 before we knew he was?

And it makes me wonder was a lot of his past 4 years of hate and warring as much to do with playing to the gallery as it was him being him...

    MONEY MONEY MONEY

So much winning. Twice impeached, twice lost the popular vote, 1 term failure.
pity it's a dry January, I'd toast his bigly winning

    Trump; 1 Term, 2 impeachments.

Never before has a President seen such numbers to be fair to him.

Fox said that so anything less would look like a victory for the Republicans.

Donald Trump. A one term president, managed to lose the Presidency, House and Senate for his party in the space of 4 years. And impeached twice.

    So much winning!

    Absolutely delighted..

He deserved to be impeached. And it was insurrection he incited!

Doesn’t matter a damn who the crowd were. Trump incited them to revolt and to attack democracy.

    Scumbag!

I wish they would have just let him leave in a week's time and once he is out the door and hasn't access to all the secrets they can plot some kind of punishment.

But doing it now is just asking for trouble, which I can imagine is exactly what the democrats want, the general publics parting memory of trump/Republicans in power is chaos, sway the swing voters.

No wonder Covid is so bad there. Politicians of all sides chatting as normal on live television.

A frightening insight into American attitudes to Covid.

It's just a pity that there aren't any Trump supporters on Boards to come and put a counter argument.
I could have sworn there were some here a while ago....

Are these outstanding voters in the toilets or is it a sign of Republicans agonising over a decision?

I get the impression Trump isn't phased one bit by this impeachement as he wasn't bothered at all about the last one.

Wow twice impeached. This time well deserved.
Anyone who went out of their way to delegitimise the election, presenting zero evidence, and then proceeded to tweet fake news 24/7 without any repercussions is dangerous for the future of democracy. Then inciting violence realising all he had left was social media, conspiracy theorists and right wing violent groups - resulting in the Capital building being ransacked. This symbolism is huge. Imagine the Kremlin being ransacked live on TV, or Westminster. It’s a huge slap in the face to the US and their standing abroad. China & Russia will be gleefully planning how to exploit the 70+ million Trump supporters & keep them distrustful of their own country. While promoting radical nationalism on their own turf.

So what are the real effects of this please.

Can he run again as a rep or other in 4 years (regardless if he actually will)?

Can he still issue pardons in his last few days?

Can he still be pardoned himself?

Lol. He spent weeks complaining about it.

You might want to give Pat Kenny a miss in the morning. I know you don't like him shining a light on this idiot.

Means little, it's only the Left having a moment. The have house and could have impeached him a 100 times if they wished since 2016.
Means nothing as he's never actually impeached

They may have dodgy Internet connection at home. BBC was chatting to one of them who caught covid last week thanks to the unmasked republicans and he was voting from home apparently.

    He is *actually* impeached. Twice.

Can he still issue pardons in his last few days? - Yes

Can he still be pardoned himself? - Debatable. This has no impact on that.
