As I see it the once mighty USA is f****d. It kinda peaked in the 50s / 60s and has been going downhill since, accelerating as it goes.
    CNN vs FOX
    DEM vs GOP
The 4 x 2's skim off all the cream while the eses and homies pick the bones.
It's only going to get worse as they all pursue the mighty dollar.

1960s a decade when black people marched for equality and were met with heavy handed police presence while right wingers called them terrorists

Where a narrissistic bully became president and thought he had the power to do whatever he wanted

Where the three main voices of progressivism were extinguished one by one

    Yes nothing like today :)

    Yeh what evs.

What gets me about the whole capitol attack is that, it wasnt some right wing antiestablishment fringe nut trying to make a name for themselves, but the ‘let’s March on the capitol’ person was literally the president of America.

It’s insane when you think about it. The president marching on his own capitol as if it’s not his.

The idea of what POTUS is and the responsibility of the position has been so very damaged by trump it’s crazy.

That will be interesting. Marr isn't good at roasting interviews, on the other hand, Kelly Ann Conway is a bit of an enigma, married to anti Trump George and generally given a pass by the press such as Tapper and Cuomo.
Would not be surprised to see her turn away from Trump now.
Bill Maher will be too busy patting himself on the back for predicting the Trump coup to try hard anyway.

If they were Antifa why did Trump hesitate to send in the National Guard? He’s been chomping at the bit since June for any and every excuse to deploy the guard elsewhere under the insurrection act; why not right under his nose?

You surely know how ridiculous and incongruent your accusations are.

The antiva in pursuit of the antifa.

Sweet Jesus are there still people here sticking up for Bunker Donald? Even Pence and Cruz have deserted him now.

The evertrumpers might get a fools' pardon if they had been "educated" in Mississippi or Alabama. But people who went to school in Ireland?

Anyway your steadfastness is to be admired. History will remember you all as it remembers Eva Braun.

It appears, thus far, Trump hasn’t found anyone to represent him at impeachment. I hear it could be Jim Jordan, who never even took the bar exam. He stiffed Rudy, and even Dershowitz might be out now after the refusal to pay. Actual law firms of course don’t want anything to do with the radioactive president.

According to CNN it also seems that he’s banned WH staff from mentioning Richard Nixon after staff were overheard comparing and contrasting the two :D

If only Trump had a personal history chock full of this kind of behaviour so we all could have seen this coming.

Michael Cohen literally wrote the book on this. From a jail cell, where he was because Trump left him in a position where he took the risk in breaking the law.

I’m loving the fact that all Trump sees out the window is Biden’s inaugural stage, and all he sees on TV is the media absolutely trolling him, now that it’s been revealed that he barked at WH staff not to bring up Richard Nixon because he loathes the comparisons.

    Schadenfreude galore.

The Shaman guys legal defence is that Trump should pardon them because they believed they were there at the invitation of the President.

Gotta love how the snake eats its own tail. Trump convinced them to protest the election confirmation and fight for their democracy (though never explicitly saying to do so violently and against the law). They did that anyway and got arrested. Trump faces impeachment so disavows them saying he never told them to do what they did and what he said couldn't have been considered incitement to violence. Now they're pleading for pardons by throwing Trump under the bus saying they only did what they believed Trump was telling them to do.

This is going to be referenced in the senate during his impeachment trial I bet.

Aaron Mostofsky (pictured on the right) the son of a New York Judge, is a 34-year-old registered Democrat who has been arrested by the FBI for his involvement in the events at Capitol. The charges include a felony count of theft of government property — a bulletproof police vest worth $1,905 and a riot shield valued at $265.

Aaron Mostofsky also gave a video interview while inside the building, telling the New York Post he was there to

    A registered democrat ............

His dad is apparently an elected judge primarily because of support from the Orthodox community in New York, and is not very well regarded within the court system. He may knly be a Democrat as that is more politically viable in NYC.

Its probably more his lawyer pushing it at the minute as he knows there's no pardon coming, but if they can blame it him being easily led by Trump and doing what his President said was a patriotic thing, fighting for their democracy in a stolen election etc, it might limit the damage to him.

Maybe once no pardon comes and if Trump continues to speak out against the rioters in order to save his own skin, maybe the wool (or fur) will start to be lifted from this guy's eyes among others. Once they realise Trump is the kind of guy who wouldnt even stand behind his own shadow on a sunny day (and probably while staring directly into the sun too), never mind stand behind even his most ardent of followers and supporters.
