One side was protesting calling for an end to the use of excessive force by police and the fair treatment of all people, the other was conservatives looking to steal an election.

Seems to have been an absence of violence so from what is supposedly a group that has 6 months experience of carrying out violent acts and turned up armed for that specific purpose.

We still have to count some votes, but it’s worth noting that there hasn’t been a faithless elector yet. That’s not terribly important for the ultimate outcome, unless there was a historic number of them.

It is, however, important for Biden’s place in history relative to Trump’s 2016 performance. Although Trump won contests totaling 306 electoral votes in 2016, he actually only got the votes of 304 electors. Two of his electors were faithless.

This year, Biden, of course, won contests totaling 306 electoral votes. But if he has one or no faithless electors, he will beat Trump’s 2016 performance for the record books.

One could also imagine that it would be an ego bruise for Trump, who liked to tout his 2016 electoral performance.

Biden’s 306 electors would be the most for anyone not named Barack Obama in the 2000s.

With how both of them look in that picture, I always think it looks like Biden knows the ultimate outcome already (which he does) and Trump still doesn't know the election is over (which he doesn't).

I'm simply fascinated that not just you, but everyone I've seen on the interweb peddling these allegations only has these jpegs to share, not any actual link to the report itself or to any credible journal of record reporting on the matter or an analysis of its legitimacy.

Machines were not involved in the recount. Antrim County manually recounted the ballots.

It's a fine number... but it is entirely based on a key assumption in the math: that every voter in 2020 should have voted with the same preference habits as 2016. In other words the claim is 'if everyone who voted for Hillary in 2016 voted for Biden in 2020 and every Trump supporter voted for Trump in both elections, extrapolated out to millions more votes, Biden should have only had a 1 in quadrillion chance of winning the election."

That math is, plainly, as useful as me telling you I can fill up a bath tub by boiling 1 cup of water: Yes, I can present you math that will be entirely correct, and repeatable, but I will be working under the assumption that water expands as an ideal gas. :pac:
