Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Prior to the lockdown AES would take extra recycling if it was left in a cardboard box by the wheelie bin.

Does anyone know if they Are back to doing that again?

Can such extra waste be bright to the Mungret Recycling Centre? I’ve been through the list of accept materials and I think the answer is no but I want to be sure.

I don't know about AES but regarding Mungret, it depends on what you are bringing out.

Check the list https://www.limerickrecyclingcentres.ie/materials-accepted If not, why not just put the stuff into the bin over several weeks.

An elderly relative afraid of getting Covid from the bins hasn’t been putting them out. Bagged it all but kept it in the garage.

He barely gets by so there is no money for a skip or even skip bag. The independent collectors would charge the sane for the amount. I’m tapped out so can’t afraid it either. But I guess he would be scared of a skip outside the house too.

It is just the usual stuff we put in recycling.

If AES are back to collecting that bit of extra I could talk to the neighbours about leaving a box next to each bin.

Then I would call AES and explain and could be there for when the collection comes around.

You could use big bin €8 for 2 80L bags of rubbish or €5 for 2 80L bags recycling.

Mungret recycling would work out cheaper is you have lots of recycling.
