Hello I am looking at buying my first gaming pc,
I would like to buy before Xmas if possible.
I have a budget of about 1000/1100 including vat.
I would only be playing call of duty, but would be using it as a media server and work pc.
I got a quote of 980 for the specs below,
But with an rtx 1660 ti
    Is it worth it?
    I don't need any peripherals.
SSD and 1tb harddrive would be needed.

    INTEL CORE i3 10100F 3.6GHz
    16GB DDR4 RAM / 240GB SSD / 1TBB HARD DRIVE
8GB AMD RADEON RX580 GRAPHICS CARD
    240gb SSD
    1tb hdd
    500 80+ bronze pay

    Any help much appreciated

That's pretty expensive and I would be looking for a 6 core processor these days.

500W PSU could be quite limiting depending on brand.

    Thanks for the reply,
I am waiting for a quote from another builder for a i5 build.
Nowhere seams to have stock of anything at the min.
What size psu do u recommend?
Would I be aswell to wait until after Xmas?

Better to wait for 3-9 months. Why old technology and expensive Intel, but not a more modern and for a better price per performance AMD, if I may ask?
What games would you play? What's your monitor? (Size, resolution and refresh rate).

Yes, things should start to settle down in January but buying from the UK may no longer be viable. The Ryzen 5 3600 would be a better buy IMHO. 600W decent brand PSU, Corsair, Seasonic or KOLINK Enclave. Be Quite are also good.

Stock is very difficult to comeby at the moment and everything is overpriced.

DO NOT BUY AN INTEL PROCESSOR NOW.

the specs you mentioned are worth about 500-600 all in, whos building it, linus?

I couldn't wait that long, my laptop is on its last legs and need it for work.
Amd or intel wouldn't bother me it's just these are pre built units and I was hoping to get it this week.
At the moment I am just playing warzone on PS4 looking to go pc.
    I have a benq 24" 1920/1080 60hz 5ms.
Would u recommend an and build for this budget?

Ibuypower.de are great value on certain systems.

Be careful of buying from any of the UK sites as you have no legal rights after 1st of Jan if there is an issue. Unless you want to go through and show up to the UK small claims court.

Picking this off the homepage is alread worlds apart and that's without looking around for a deal https://www.ibuypower.de/Gamer-PC/Ryzen-3600-mit-RX5700

In fairness the i5 10600K is a good CPU.

I'm not sure tbh, back in Windows 7 I think only certain versions of Windows could change language, I think more can now but I'm not sure of the situation.

You can buy windows on eBay for €10-15 but it's a grey area on wether it's a legit copy.

In case you didn't notice the website does have an English option, at the top I think. For the website not for Windows. They are an American company, that's just the German/EU branch, obviously with customs and shipping the American one is no good to you.

Windows 10 is a free download and keys can be got for €7 on adverts if the watermark on the bottom right of the screen annoys you.

Sorry it was windows 10 pro I was thinking of.
I think I will wait to mid January or so to get one at this stage.
Was on a few websites specing them up.
Was looking at the 5 3600 with
    AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT
    Or the GTX 2660ti.
Thanks for the help thus far.

Are you not risking VAT and duty by buying from the UK now?
That could have a whopper additional bill.

EDIT: Sorry I think I had that wrong.
