Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tough one as some of them on form too, personally I always prefer the dgw BB but lots big scores on benches the past few weeks as with not as many big hitters everyone seems have more balances squads, I'd see how you shape up for 26 then maybe call it

Pope and Antonio carrying knocks, Dias has the runs and DCL a dodgy hammy.

Fair to say I won’t be BBing this week!

Throw Digne into the mix and it's going to be interesting. The FA Cup has potentially put a serious dent in my careful planning . Ah well, what's new.

Would love it if they announced all the fixture changes tomorrow after the Chelsea match is played tonight. If you knew the fixtures for sure and weren't relying on Ben Crellin think there is probably maximum advantage in playing the wild card this gameweek.

is there an excel version of the fixture planner going around still or was that just for last season?

Injuries have screwed both of my attempts to play bench boost this year. Think I'll just hold for GW26 at this rate.

Gonna be real pissed if these boys don’t play. There’s great effort in lining up a DGW a few weeks out.

    Think I might ahead anyway.

Dias likely to play one game, DCL is an easy transfer out and Antonio/Pope will be fine.

BB is an overrated chip and being rid of it gives me complete flexibility with the WC in GW26

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,079 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

I had 2 FTs rolling into this week in order to set up for BBGW26.

Used one on DCL, and now tempted to just WC now instead this week and go with the planned transfers in one move rather than holding out and spreading them over time. Bit of a reactionary move but I was probably going to WC in 27 or 28 anyways. I'll lose the FT but c'est la vie.

I still have FH for 29.

But if I do WC this week, am I better off to BB with the current 15 players, or just wait for the double and BB when a lot more players will have a double?

Seriously considering wildcarding myself this week now. 4 yellow flags plus want 3 Leeds next week anyway and would like to jump on a couple of low ownership player like Sterling and Ings. I could bb in 25 with Brighton, Burnley good single fixtures and a Southampton player with a double.

Do you have many DGW26 players to BB that week instead of GW25?

I'd likely have 11 dgwkers plus 3 Leeds. Was thinking of tcing Kane in 26 though.

Had planned DCL and. BUR Def as one week punt. But think I will just get the bur defender for TAA and save one transfer. Much more room to manoeuvre when the DGW 26 games are finalised.

Changing my mind every 5 minutes about what to do this week. Might just use the ft and wait for more news.

Next week being a Friday deadline is not ideal. What if the entire schedule gets announced next Friday afternoon?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,355 ✭✭✭Jim Gazebo

Ideally when is the best bench boost and triple capt gameweeks now? Thinking bench boost next week with 2 free bringing in DGW for 25/26. And then triple captain a double from there to end of season?

    Reasonable enough strategy?

Yup if your bench for 26 is gonna look strong, it’s a great time to use it.

Whats the favoured chip strategy going forward ive no FH for 29 but all other chips available and 1 fts this week.

    Current team is
    Pope(Meslier)
    Lowton Cancelo Dias (Coufal, Robbo)
    Bruno Son Gundogan Grealish Soucek
    Bamford (DCL) Cavani

I’ve come around to this way of thinking around bench boost. Unlike TC it can net you negative points if used unwisely and I suspect that has been the case for me in previous seasons.

I.e. choosing certain players when wildcarding just for the next weeks bench boost when another set of players would have gotten more points over the full season.

So are all y'all GW25 Wildcarders hitting the button tonight or waiting for the fixture news to actually come in?

I'm holding off, just in case I land on a decent 15 when they are announced, and could get away with a decent bench boost team by only make 3 or 4 moves over the next 2 GWs,

want to see the confirmed fixtures to be sure either way,

Ye same here reckon could have a lot of players I want in and if can get get away with 3/4 transfers over 2gw for a BB I will

Sorry, what's the rationale behind hitting the WC for 25 rather than holding fire for 26?

Using either Bench boost or Triple Captain chips in gw26.

can't use the wildcard and another chip in the same week.

Southampton are probably too crap to bother with next week aren't they? I was going to bring in one of their defenders to replace Justin but I don't think it's worth the hassle of swapping back out

Yeh I've McCarthy on my bench and I'm not sure if I should even start him over Ederson.

Ings but can he play both games?

they can't afford not to play Ings in both games.

Adams is off it, Walcott isn't fit, Long has gone on loan.

only Southampton players I'd consider for the doubles are
McCarthy (if you already have him, but wouldn't buy him) I think Forster deserves a run in the team but Ralph came out Friday and said Mccarthy is his No. 1.

Romeu (if you need a 4.5 MF for a bench boost and if they double in gw26 also)

Ings.( probably only for gw25 double, there will be better options in Gw26)

How is GW26 shaping up? Have been out of the loop and focusing on how 24/25 but now idea who will have a double in gw26? Have wildcard, bb and tc left to get rid of.

Only guesswork atm. Ben Crellin twitter does a lot of work on this.
Fixture announcements are expected before GW25 deadline.

I've Bendarek and Adams. At the moment struggling to get either in my team:

    Meselier
    Robbo Cancelo Stones Mee
    Grealish Salah Bruno Son Gundog
    Bamford

Mee is probaly the one I'd drop for one but fancy him V Burnley

he wouldn't fit into my MF.

    Salah-Bruno-Son-Sterling-Gundagen.

maybe for someone moving away from Soucek but Raphina and Gundagen would be my pick at that price point.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,776 ✭✭✭✭keane2097

I can't decide who to bring in to replace Justin.

    My backline is:

Martinez (AVL) - Stones (MCI) - Cancelo (MCI) - Lowton (BUR) - Dallas (LEE) - Justin (LEI)

Spurs probably have the best fixtures, but who is nailed on for them? Is Dier a big rotation risk. He's been dropped a couple of times lately by the looks of it and they were rinsed by City. Also considering Shaw, or one of the remaining Leicester players. Brighton have nice fixtures but no DGWs.

Looking at Chilwell & Soucek out > Dallas & Raphinha in for the DGW.

I was set on Raphina too but no wildcard so JWP has two games more than Raphina assuming I FH in 29.
