Mee is probaly the one I'd drop for one but fancy him V Burnley

Robbo not showing anything that justifies him being in any squad, yet alone the starting 11.

I'm actually considering Kabak for the run of SHU, Fulham and maybe Everton. Possible double also.

When are the DGW fixtures due to be confirmed?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,309 ✭✭✭COH

Looking at Crellins spreadsheet (I have no free hit to navigate 29) I may wildcard this week to ensure 4 doublers for GW25 (Dallas, Raphinha, Bamford, Ings)

Will use the FT for 26 to go Ings > Kane leaving me 11 doublers for GW 26 where I might benchboost... will have to look into having a second playing keeper on the WC for this though I might just save it.

Thats all with a view to having 9 (maybe 10?) players for blank gameweek GW29 (3 Leeds, 1 Fulham, 2/3 Spurs, 3 Villa). Seems that the 29 players will have decent enough fixtures in GW 30 so while many will wildcard out of 31 as the fixtures turn south for many Ill just take some hits at that stage and and hope for the best.

    Thats my current thinking anyway!

Anyone else who has WC/BB thinking differently? Obviously this all depends on the DGW fixtures being announced, but I have no Villa or Spurs as it stands so am currently a little screwed for 29 regardless.

I think im planning on saving WC to 31, using BB in 26 though probably wont have 15 DGW's and then transfer my way into 11 for 29. Also have TC but unsure when to use that but dont regard it as a massive chip

I think a lot of people are getting too wrapped up in the blank gameweek coming up. There are probably only going to be 4 fixtures going ahead and 3 of the clubs playing are Brighton, Newcastle and Fulham.

Even if you go into that gameweek with 7 players you'll be fine as the average will be low anyway.

I get the point but I think there are real gains to be had from having 3 Brighton players vs Newcastle and attackers from both teams in the Fulham v Leeds game.

I could Free Hit a different week and plan towards having a certain number for that week, but my inclination is that it is better to not have to work it into my plans at all and hope I can hit gold on it instead.

If anything this is a better week for the free hit than the one where most people used it, because with Man City and Spurs playing, it was so much easier to get near 11 out without stretching too much, as long as you weren’t bench boosting in the Double the following week.

Lewis Dunk could be the BGW hero I reckon.

Brighton defenders flying very much under the radar in recent weeks ....fixtures looking ok too

Have brought in Sanchez myself for this reason. I like to have 2 playing GKs anyways, and also play Palace this week.

Have 10 doublers it looks like as it stands. Including Chris wood and tarkowski.

At the moment I don't want to wildcard as I'd prefer to leave it closer to the end to set myself for a strong run in I think. May change my mind though. I am about 30/40 points off the top of two ML and am kind of in uncharted territory!

My current plan was to bring Ings or Raphinha in for this week. I have 2 ft but if I can keep the second one I'll -4 my way into 26 with either Kane or Vardy and a few other DGWs.

Currently leaning on doing Barnes to Raphinha for this week and Keeping the 1FT. BB in 26 or TC, see how I feel but I imagine it will have to be bench boost as I don't think there will be any better opportunities.

This is where I am wondering is it of more benefit to wildcard this week, load up for 26 and BB and then TC City in one of their doubles upcoming? Any opinions on this?

WC feels like a waste when I would only bring in max 5/6 I would say and also feels like I may be tinkering when I shouldn't. Have had my best gameweeks of the season in the last few.

Could I box myself into a corner where I end up wasting TC and/or BB by being too hesitant.

Afaik, there's a good possibility of 1 more game, Tot v Villa. But that'll be it.

Keen to know the answer to this myself as Im planning on using the WC this week and then BB the following one. With a FH likely for the blankish game week in 29.

But its hard to plan anything until we have fixture confirmation, Im hoping they dont do it an hour before the deadline on Friday or there will be some scramble to work things out.

I am going to dead end into 29 and then WC in 30/31. Still probably only go or 8/9 players in 29, not all that much there.

Thanks extra gravy. Would be sweet if they are announced tonight or even tomorrow would do. Even better if they announce them for a couple of gameweeks rather than just one.

It will be all fixtures for March so should get a good dose of information for potential DGW's.

    As per Ben on twitter:

“Details of broadcast selections for March and the rearrangement of previously postponed matches will be announced in due course.”

Its a re-arrangement which hasn't been scheduled yet but 90% it goes to that weekend. Spurs were due to play Southampton in GW 29

DGW26 and DGW27 confirmed by Pep

    Wolves & Southampton

Guardiola on rotation: "...see the schedule we have at the end of February and especially all March, when Premier League included two more games in that period against Wolves and Southampton..."

always said Pep was a gentleman,

even when I've accused him of being a canniving, no good malice who likes nothing better that rotating his starting XI without a moment's thought of my FPL team.

Are Saints likely to have a DGW in 25/26&27 then? according to ben crellin they play spurs in 26 and city in 27?

There is a decent chance Spurs play Fulham in 26 instead. That would be the fly in the ointment.

It could be 25, 26 and 27 or it could be 25, 27 with a Spurs game still to arrange.

As far as I can tell, only one of Southampton and Fulham would have a double in 26, so Spurs will face Burnley and either of those, with the other game to be rescheduled for a later date (which will be easier to schedule now that Spurs are out of the cup)

Still can't decide whether to Wildcard or not. There's a few players I'd like to have but I feel I can bench boost in GW26 without the wildcard and save for later.

Im pretty sure I'll use the WC this week in order to bench boost for the DGW. But if you can BB without using it and still have a good few DGW players then its likely better saved for another DGW.

This fixture announcement is doing my head in now, Ive a busy day with work tomorrow so want to know whats happening to make moves tonight. Im even wondering in the EPL offices in London how far away do the FPL staff sit from the staff who are deciding fixtures and would they ever go and shout across and tell them to hurry the fcuk up.

Really poor form from them to take more than a week to rearrange fixtures for less than 2 weeks away.

Clubs must have been told as Pep mentioned it about the rearranged games and extra fixtures they have.

So why can't they just come out and say it.

Pep Guardiola implying that Wolves (h) will be added to DGW26: "Next one is Arsenal. Three days after, Champions League, three days later against West Ham, three days later we have Wolves, three/four days later we have United. Non-stop."

Guardiola on fixtures: "We have a busy schedule and incredible few months ahead; we have Wolves and Southampton in one week as well so everyone will be involved."

I reckon they're doing a sh*t job of sorting things with the TV companies for the exact times.

I know fans don't have to make travel plans anymore but they're really starting to take the p*ss. They were doing the same and even worse when they were selling games on PPV.

Very frustrating indeed. Im guessing if its not announced in the next 30 minutes then its rolling into tomorrow. It would be some laugh if they dropped it 30 minutes before the deadline, it would give a great opportunity to get a jump on some rivals who cant look at it in work :pac:

Going by what Pep said last night its WH and Wolves
"Next one is Arsenal. Three days after, Champions League, three days later against West Ham, three days later we have Wolves, three/four days later we have United. Non-stop."

Roy Hodgson hinting at a #DGW26 of Fulham (h) and Man Utd (h) for Palace: "We're being threatened with a game in between Fulham and Tottenham against Manchester United, I don't know whether that's been ratified as yet, but it's been mooted as a possibility."

On Fantasy football scout on Twitter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,700 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

That Hodgson quote ties in perfectly with what Ben Crelin predicts on his spreadsheet. I dont think Id want any Palace player right now regardless, double or not. Had Zaha earlier in the season but he blows hot and cold and was frustrating to own

Well that one wasn't very difficult to predict. Neither Palace nor United had any additional games to arrange elsewhere and United are in Europe and FA Cup so not really anywhere else it could hae gone.

It is the other uncertainties that cause problems.

I'm some ape, I was sure deadline this GW was today at 4.30pm....

    It's 6.30pm!

Plenty of time so if / when DGW fixtures announce today to do my WC.

Was going to be caught up with work most of the afternoon so that ease's that a bit so.

Have a few drafts done out.

Defenders is one line now that is annoying me a bit, with Citay's rotation risk. Is Dias the only one "nailed" on to an extent?

What’s the rush in wildcarding this GW when the doubles are the next GW? The doubles this GW aren’t the most enticing either.

I'm planning on BB-ing in 26. Can't WC and BB in same GW.

Want to have a "solid" bench for 26 then downgrade it as the season grinds to a halt and a damp squid of a finish.

I'm chasing 100+ points in a ML and want to see can I make it up now rather than at the end of the season. And also I need to get in Bruno and get out my 3 Burnley defenders too... Oh and Justin also!

Unless they announce the fixture in next few hours I won't wildcard. I can get to 13/14 doublers and bench boost through a -4 so I think in the grand scheme of things it's best to hold. Can wildcard with some Gameweeks to go and set for a big finish maybe.
