Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pharmaceutical Contractor

    Hi All,

I am a contractor in the pharmaceutical industry for a couple of years and have not had an increase in my rate since starting. I found out the agency I contract with earns 38euro a day from my contract and I would obviously prefer for that to be going into my pocket. I have two scenarios below that I'd like some advice on. I've asked contractors I work with but I can't find anyone who has tried either scenario.

    1. My preferred option is to ditch the agency and take control of my contract with no middle man. I have approached the company were I am placed and they said they don't usually do this as they have an agreement with the contract agency, but if there was circumstances were I had a grievance with the agency that it could be done. At the moment I'm a bit annoyed with them as they are very sporadic with when they process invoices and often exceed the agreed 7 day window. This has left me short on several occasions and created some stress.

    2. Is it possible to re-negotiate the proposed rate that the agency takes to try and increase my own daily rate?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    A
