Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Car maintenance inquiry

Can anybody here recommend a place to get my car serviced? I lost faith in my previous garage after they did a pre-NCT test on it and they missed a corroded brake pad on my rear side. So I'm looking for a new place.

I always found the mechanic in Irishtown very good, Autofix. They give you a great breakdown after the service of what was done and then colour code things that were checked for the next service

Tommy Campion in johnswell. Very thorough and reasonable when pricing.

I'd recommend autofix too. They serviced my old car a few times when I lived in KK and they were great.

Never get a Pre-NCT test. Its a complete waste of money and utter scam.

Bring your car into the NCT and if it fails get fixed whats written on the sheet and bring it back.

Once I brought my car to a mechanic in this thread for a Pre-NCT and charged me enough for it, it failed on 9 points a lot of them obvious. Last time I used them.
