Was 12 Angry Men remade? As a mini series or tv movie?

Some good actors in it alright. But from all accounts it’s not a patch on the original.

Round 2 coming up tonight around 7pm. This was harder to rank than the first one, a great selection of movies even the ones i ranked low weren't that bad, just a little boring

Here are few movies that would have won it had they been entered

    Good luck

An entertaining movie that has a great pace. Directed by Taylor Sheridan who played David Hale in Sons of Anarchy. This stars Emily Blunt as an FBI agent who after discover a house of horrors with dozens of dead bodies within the walls, is dragged into a dangerous task to help bring down a powerful cartel member. She teams up with CIA agent played by Josh Brolin and a vengeful Benicio del Toro, who's character has a tragic backstory. This movie delivers some fantastic tension, the scene on the bridge as they cross the border is great. I still haven't seen the sequel but i plan on seeing it soon.
My favourite thing about this movie: Roger Deakins beautiful Cinematography

The Coen Brothers always produce a great flick and this is considered by many to be their greatest however i wouldn't put it in my top 3 movies of theirs, that doesn't mean this movie isn't great it simply means they have an amazing Filmography. Whilst out hunting Llewelyn (played by Josh Brolin) comes across the aftermath of a drug deal gone bad which has left dead bodies and 2 million dollars in a briefcase, he takes the money and unknowingly sets off a series of events that sees him targeted by a deranged hitman (played to perfection by Javier Bardem, who won an oscar for this role). The rest of the movie is a cat and mouse game between Llewelyn and Bardem's character Anton Chigurh, whose weapon of choice is a Captive bolt pistol which is used to kill animals in slaughterhouses.
My favourite thing about this movie: Anton Chigurh, a character that is considered to be among the greatest movie villain's ever. The scene at the gas station and the coin flip will send chills down your spine

Directed by the son of David Bowie, this movie starring Sam Rockwell is a brilliant movie and somewhat underrated. Rockwell's character is alone on a space station on the moon where he has been for quite some time. The only company he has is a robot AI voiced by disgraced actor Kevin Spacey. I can't really say too much about this film without giving away a very important twist which happens very early in the film, but as the movie goes on Rockwell's character learns that not everything is as it seems. Queen Maeve from TV series The Boys makes an appearance, this time she isn't plating a super hero, she stars as sam rockwells wife.
My favourite thing about this movie: GERTY the AI

Master of the buddy-cop movies Shane Black delivers another gem of a movie, which sees hollywood heavyweights Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling teaming up. The movies opening scene sees a car crash down the side of a cliff and through a house, the driver turns out to be a famous porn actress, whose aunt hires Goslings character to investigate believing that her niece is still alive. His investigation crosses paths with Crowes character and after a rocky start they team up to try find a girl called Amelia who might be the key to figuring out what the hell is going on. It also delivers with humour too especially gosling, one particular scene involving protesters pretending to be dead that i found hilarious. I enjoyed this more the second time i watched it, it's a fun movie involving multiple shoot outs, twist and turns throughout, little girls getting thrown through windows and a talking bumblebee.
My favourite thing about this movie - the chemistry between the two lead actors

I love when actors take on roles outside of their comfort zone, here we see lovable funny guy Robin Williams play a creepy stalker type. His character works as a photo technician in a convenience store where he is underappreciated by his boss. At first he seems like a friendly guy who is just a bit lonely and has taking an interest in a local family, but you soon realise that he has become obsessed with this family and often fantasies about being a part of the family. In a scene early on in the movie we see this guy sit alone watching tv as the camera slowly pans to the wall where we see hundreds of photos of the family, he has become obsessed with. As his obsession becomes deepens it reaches a dangerous territory when he discovers a secret about one of the family members. This is a tense film and even though robins' character is creepy you can't help but feel sorry for him.
My favourite thing about this movie: Robin Williams performance, its a great serious performance no goofiness here

Hugh Grant is an actor that i don't like, he always looks smug and i mostly associate him with British rom-com. But in this movie he is actually really funny. He plays an obnoxious womanizer who dates single because he believes they are desperate and have low expectations, he even goes as far as joining a single parents club and pretending to have a child in order to get close to the mothers. While on a date with one of these women he meets a young boy, this boy tries desperately to set him up with his mother and it's around this time you realise this isn't a romantic movie its more of a bonding movie between hugh grant's character and the boy, and contains a lot of amusing moments but also heartfelt ones too. Perhaps i should give Hugh Grant movies a chance, maybe, maybe not.
My favourite thing about this movie - the acting of the kid Nicholas Hoult, who grew up to become Tony from Skins

Set in East Germany in 1984, at a time when the Stasi would spy on the east German people and monitor their every movement. A Stasi agent is order to spy on a screenwriter and his girlfriend due to the writer's communists' views and the fact that a powerful minister has become infatuated with the writers girlfriend. The Stasi bug the apartment and set up base in the attic above the couple. As time passes the agent spying on the couple becomes sympathy to them and even helps them at times, but things eventually spiral out of control. The ending is amazing but I'm not going to say much about that because i don't want to spoil this wonderful film. This film feels like it could easily be based on a true story because stuff like this often happened in east Germany. People who refuse to watch foreign language films are missing out on some of the best films out there.
My favourite thing about this movie: The whole story, it grips you and you get absorbed into the film. You care for the 3 main characters.

This is a somewhat difficult movie to describe. It stars Josh Hartnett, who i find somewhat bland, as a man who is searching for his long-lost love. The movie is told through flashbacks as it shows how the characters met and fell in love. Hartnetts character struggles looking for answer's as to where his love lisa has gone. It eventually becomes clear to us that another woman, played brilliantly by Rose Byrne has fallen in love with hartnetts character matt and has manipulated the situation to keep matt and lisa apart. It was a bit confusing at times and felt a little muddled but not a bad movie, rose byrne was the stand out of the movie.
My favourite thing about this movie - Rose Byrne

This was one hell of an entertaining movie. Directed by two-time oscar winner for Best director Alfonso Cuarón, and in my opinion this is still his finest film to date. Set a few years in the future (2027 to be precise) the world is facing many problems, governments are losing control, immigrants being rounded up and locked in cages, police clashing with rebels, you'd be forgiven for thinking this was taking place in 2020. Another important issue here is the fact that women are facing infertility and no births have happened in about 18 years, but the main character in this movie Theo discovers that one woman has become pregnant as they both get caught up in a war between the police force and a rebel unit known as the fishes. This movie is beautifully shot and has become famous for its amazing long takes. The ending is brilliant too
My favorite thing about this movie: The long takes, especially the one at the end

The Miracle on the Hudson, i can still remember where i was when i heard about this, working in a factory it was my first job after i had finished school. One of the guys came up to us and told us there was another huge plane crash in new york. Lucky it wasn't as deadly as 9/11, nowhere near it. I can also remember being excited when i heard they were making a movie about this, but when i watched it i was slightly bored of it. Tom Hanks does a great job (like he always does) but this movie never really engaged me. A lot of the aviation talk went over my head to be honest, it's only an ok movie
My favourite thing about this movie: The fact it's a true story, a good news story
