Soundbar around €300 & ARC question

21-12-2020 4:31pmHi there,
Could you please recommend a soundbar around €300?
I have an Hitachi 50HYT62U TV. It has two HDMI ports on the back.
HDMI 1: Virgin Media TV Box and Xbox One through a USB hub.
HDMI 2: Nintendo Switch.
The current soundbar gets audio from the TV through 3.5 jack as optical only works with an adapter and sound even worse than the output through the 3.5 jack. I was looking at ARC but I wonder if that messes with the current setup?
Could you recommend me something around €300 with the limitations in mind?
Thanks in advance.1

Thanks for the post!
I would recommend the Yamaha YAS207 which is a great soundbar for the money. It has an HDMI input and output which means you can run ARC from the TV if you plug your sources directly into the TV, it also has a wireless sub and Bluetooth. The ARC should be a vast improvement over what you're using.

Let me know what you think of this option!

Thanks for the recommendation.
I just saw that you also have a 209 model. What's the difference there? They both seem to be the same price only one is more recent? I saw that one has Alexa (which I don't care for). In terms of sound and basic features do they differ much?
Thanks in advance for your help.0 -

Thanks for getting back to me.
There's not a massive amount of difference to be honest in terms of sound quality, the main difference is the built in Alexa!
Let me know what you think!

Considering they're both the same price, I think I'll be going with the newer model then.
I realize you guys are located in Belfast? Do I have to pay import or customs for the soundbar then or does that not apply?
Thanks very much.0 -

There are no import or customs charges to pay.
You can order directly via our website and the soundbar would be dispatched out to you.0
