I bought EXK a while back, possibly on the recommendation on this forum, up 60% so far. Currently sitting at 3 year highs so now is probably not the time to get in, but one to look at and possibly buy on a dip. Silver price seems to be very high atm, very bullish on this one long term.

Sitting around 80%+ on this now, and 5% up pre-market. Silver seems hotly tipped to go up even more. Anyone here invested in silver or silver mining? With the USD printing presses overheating and inflation numbers coming out precious metals are looking like a nice hedge.

Depending how today goes, this will be up around 20% in about 2 weeks. If the share offering goes ahead soon, might be a good buying opportunity.

No ones making any comment about veracity or otherwise, just sentiment.

It's also a voicemail auto-transcript service as another user pointed out :D

Is SEAH worth a punt? Its to be had for $10.20 at the moment. Soo not extravagant by any means

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,719 ✭✭✭cronos

Wishing I'd bought more than a 1% position in ANVS, but I'm going to ride it all the way up or down. The advantage of small positions.

It's also a SPAC so if they don't do a deal you'd get 10$ back, some SPACs do trade below the list price before any announcement though but usually close enough.

It seems all this has going for it today is a Kramer pump but I doubt he has much to say on a SPAC in the early stages.

This is a copy and paste:
    SEAH
    Target: Super Group
    * Super Group is the holding company for leading global online sports betting and gaming businesses: Betway, a premier online sports betting brand, and Spin, a multi-brand online casino offering
    * The group is licensed in 23 jurisdictions throughout Europe, the Americas and Africa, took in more than $42 billion in wagers in the 12 months to March 2021 and currently has over 2.5 million monthly unique active customers
    * Targeting the fast-growing U.S. online sports betting and gaming market, Super Group has also entered into an agreement to acquire Digital Gaming Corporation (“DGC”) (subject to customary regulatory closing conditions), which will give the group access to up to an initial 10 U.S. states, complementing its global growth strategy

I'm curious for a SPAC on Degiro how does one actually redeem for the $10.

I wouldn't bother with commons pre-merger. Calls or Warrants if you're playing the pop. Commons on the post-ticker dip if you want to hold long.

In terms of US sports betting I'd be looking at GENI and whomever gets SportsRadar instead of HZON - maybe even our own Flutter Plc.

Interesting. I've never voted either. How far ahead of the merger do you do it? You obviously can't do it anytime. Also is there any charge? I seem to remember a charge for voting.

I honestly dunno as there's been no scenario for me or anyone I know where redeeming made sense versus selling. IBKR are at least a day before date and ~$100.

The whole reason there's a 30c gap you see around NAV as opposed to a hard 'floor' is due to desks arbing. For the same reason, the maths of redeeming versus selling is usually priced in.

And they've halved in value since ATH/IPO - they're definitely oversold even vs what the board paid (110 GBX or so IIRC). In at 92GBX myself.

4D on a nice run to 105GBX today.

You've probably heard of RedHat in terms of server stuff before? JFrog are like RedHat for cloud stuff.

Kubernetes is software for things called Containers. Containers are super-important for companies porting over to run 'in the cloud' versus running 'on bare metal'. It means structuring the software in terms of 'microservices' - each running in its own little container.

For companies porting over from their legacy technology stack, they want to be able to test and run it locally first to see if their container setup works. And then deploy an exact copy of that working mix of containers out in production as many times as they need on-demand. JFrog Artifactory helps make that miles easier - both testing locally and deploying in production.

Anything that makes it easier to port onto AWS or Azure quicker and safer is going to have money thrown at it. Plenty of boardsies probably use it in work already, I certainly do.

I mentioned Finance? These are the kinda people who already use it in-house

I think FROG will settle around 55 in few months. I kept buying dips to bring down my average BEP.... Sold half today with 10% profit and long on other half.... I believe in taking profits instead of unrealised ups and downs..

The more I look at AppHarvest the more I wish I'd caught it on the hop. If it retraces below $15 again I may have to take a bite (pun intended).

It got shat on as a post-SPAC, but its an incredibly impressive company with a proper USP and a scalable model seemingly. Very quick article/photo essay of their plant - its hard not to be impressed. I also really like that the produce is already in Walmart, Kroger, and Meijer stores in the US.

Over 60% of adults in the US with one dose & 50% with 2.
Other vaccines gaining approval for use with children.

62% of Canadians (72% for over 12 years) with one dose, considerably less with 2 doses at 10%.

OCGN only has rights to the US & Canada, it's market is literally shrinking by the day. It did have a chance at being the child friendly vaccine but others are getting there first.

Depending on the poll, 20-30% of American adults say they will refuse the vaccine, which potentially leaves 10-20% of the adult population left in the US both without a first dose and willing to have one.

I agree with some of what you say. But Covid is not going away. There Will be annual shots. And people will want a more traditional vaccine. Also i would not be surprised if south America opens up for ocgn as well..that been said its a risky investment. Im still in the green but i dont have a fortune invested, but ill be watching it closely

Maybe I've misunderstood it, but I thought the $10 was an all or nothing thing. If shareholders reject the merger target, the deal collapses and everyone gets the $10 back. Similarly if they don't find a target everyone gets the $10 back. I don't think every individual shareholder gets to decide - that would surely be too messy to find a target without knowing how much is in the kitty.

Ha, well it's too messy for that with all the huge CGT I'm gonna have to pay on my millions, but I'll keep people posted on the progress if people are interested in how it works out.

I paid $136 for them yesterday, currently worth $142

I have also started with options recently, very small play though. Generally I go for longer term options than short ones and have worked for me

Yeah think I'll go for longer term ones in the future, if I get a return from this play, I'll use some of the winnings for longer term BABA calls I think

I’ve sold the majority of my shares but left a small amount to see what happens. There’s still potential but it’s a far riskier play now.

Brazil have already a deal signed with Bharat to supply Covaxin so they might have a stronger hand in South America already than OCGN can, plus a number of deals in central america.

A lot might depends on how much Bharat are willing to purchase/utilise OCGN produced vials for their own deals now.
