Thought the scrum looked very strong against Scotland. Is he just giving everyone a game, or is Lasisi injured?

picked up a knock, i'd expect him back in for england.

I was surprised by the under representation of Munster. But, I see a lock has come in from Munster. Anyone know anything about him?
The Connacht lads played well last week. It's great to see some good talent out west! I hope they all progress to the Connacht team. That lad Byrne looks a good prospect. He's got very good size. Who knows, he may be Connachts #6 for the next 10 years!

He's from Cashel. Good strong carrier.
I wouldnt make too much from the representation from Munster this year. Its not a concern.
Unfortunately several wont progress to the pro ranks. Its the same most years that some will drop from pro ranks or at least playing in Ireland within a few years..

Ireland looking a class above this Welsh side, the welsh hanging on by slowing the game doen cynically, could end up getting messy if this is there game plan

This Doak lad looks tidy. Wonder would he be interested in coming south.

Lovely little mine break from Osborne. So powerful at this level.

    Cracking try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,776 ✭✭✭P.Walnuts

    That's an absurdly good try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,391 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

And great hands from Osborne to delay the pass and create a gap for the wing to run through for that try.

    Osborne really looks the part
    Lovely pass

Corkery has a very good passing range.

Lots of pop passes which is a bit different too
He makes it so easy for receiver

There really is a good deal to be excited about in this team

This is making brilliant viewing as an irish fan, this wlesh pack is huge and even in contact were making serious yards.

Welsh jersey reminds me of the classic Mexico 86 Denmark kit
    A bad version!

That flat pass that started the try off was excellent must have been nearly 20 metres.

How did the ref miss that forward pass? Was looking right at it as well. Was a mile forward.

But can he do it on a wet night in Wellington??

I know all the talk will be about Kendellen as future Irish captain, but I'm seriously liking the look of Soroka's hair.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,920 ✭✭✭✭stephen_n

Unusually the Welsh scrumhalf is really poor.

    Doak looks injured

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,424 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Very impressive first half from Ireland. 17-0 doesn’t flatter them at all. In fact probably should be further ahead. Have blown a few chances in good positions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

Defensively, Ireland are a level above Wales here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,050 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

We look good, although probably should be a bit further ahead. Wales have been pretty poor. Lots of good players on that Irish team and we'll drilled to boot.

Yeah they're soaking a lot of tackles. Conversely, we look very comfortable when they are in possession.

    Leamy doing the business

    What a fantastic try.

Great break from Doak, tracking run from Osborne and offload back to Doak.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

Doak and Osbourne linking up like tomatoes and basil there.

Didnt rate him as a coach based on his work with Cashel and Garryowen but seems to be doing a lot better now.

Should get another few scores in this as welsh clearly havent learned much from half time...

Moxham looked a bit confused there in dotting down. Looked like he forgot the laws for a second. Like he forgot that he carried it over.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

Is anyone watching the feed on the 6N website? Very jumpy for me in the second half

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,341 ✭✭✭theVersatile

    Interesting one from Moxham

    It's the same on YouTube.

Complete brain fart, could have been costly... the shock and confusion when the referee awarded the scrum..... :o

My missus is going to find Alex Soroka and steal his hair.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,245 ✭✭✭ClanofLams

Doak is the long term successor to Murray. Obviously Craig Casey will have plenty to say and it’s reliant on injuries etc but haven’t seen a 9 as good at this age as Doak in a long time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

Doak has a skillset and athleticism I've never seen from an Irish 9.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,001 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Piss poor refereeing... Jesus ... amateur hour. Says use it twice, they don’t, then penalizes us... Wales go over to score.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

Any chance we can do a Jack Grealish on this McDonough lad?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

Strategy for the commentators for when Kendellen gets the ball seems to be: fire out an Irishy sounding name beginning with K.

Good to extend lead back to 2 scores after those welsh scores.

And Front row subs made. both props replaced..

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,245 ✭✭✭ClanofLams

This ref has a had a bit of a mare for both teams.

    Serious carry by Illo there

He's like the players.. very raw at the elite level.

Good to get the BP now.
