Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I agree. Would have been much easier if the correct information was posted first.

    Have a good christmas all.

Sorry for ignorance. But what is adblue and why is it needed?

It’s a pain in the hole that’s available at only around 4 pumps in the whole country.

    I think so too.

I've reported it to the mods, but in their wisdom, it is to continue.

    Let the abuse fly.

I think he's just clarifying, that automotive adblue is not made from pigs, or any other animals urine.

Diesel bashers (haven't used the phrase in a while) like to say things like it's pigs piss to berate it.

Personally i think clarifications like that are good. I do often worry that people might occasionally believe some of the rubbish that gets posted on here. If someone has a good point to make, they always should.

Any pointless bickering between posters should end here though.

A car / van will give ample warning that adblue is needed.
To ignore, is at the drivers peril.

Adblue is available on every forecourt in bottles, and at the pump in selected locations.
I've even seen it for sale in Aldi & Tesco, and every motor factors

Pigs are not used in the manufacture of it.

Every Halfords, motorfactors, main dealer, and 90% of petrol stations have it

Most in 15-20 litre or litre drums.

    It's not hard

Pissing it down the side of the car out of a can. Should be available everywhere in a civilised manner at the pumps. You can fill it at the pumps too which lengthens the time until it next becomes a pain in the hole.

To be fair pretty much any retail adblue container i've ever seen has been anti spill. It's no more difficult than topping up screenwash or engine oil.

Only ones I’ve seen have a dodgy screw-on blue spout with the weakest threads known to mankind on them. Then they start to glug from air like all cans do.

I’ve driven over an hour to Cahir for it at a pump before. A million times handier.

What I think you meant to say is that no pigs were harmed in the manufacture of AdBlue :)

If's a bad spout it's probably bad AdBlue as well :)
Your car can tell the difference.

Thank you for taking the time to carefully read my post.....

I didn't 'jump' on anything. I was following this thread with interest until somebody decided to twice ask for it to be closed.

I hope you fell (feel) really special now.........
