Covid case numbers will continue to increase until around the middle of March before dropping away to almost zero, meanwhile the daily number of deaths attributed to COVID will remain low 5-10 each day despite number of cases going oner 2-3000 a day.
Lockdown measures will have proven to be ineffective as the virus doesn't respect the 2m antisocial rule or masks and just infects everyone in the area, shopping centres and similar places are found to be the "superspreaders".
The numbers will fall after the spring as heard immunity kicks in due to the huge number of people why caught COVID but were asymptomatic and did not get tested, the virus simply dies out due to lack of new victims to infect.
All this will happen before the vast majority of the population have had a chance of being vaccinated.
Countries that had used severe lockdown measures will remain vulnerable until their entire populations are vaccinated and will suffer outbreaks well into the late summer.

    In other news,

The start of 2021 will be very cold with snow and ice everywhere for a couple of weeks.
The UK will not break up,
Brexit will reduce the range of goods in the stores as some importers give up due to the extra red tape.
British made products will become more expensive as traders price gouge to take advantage of the difference in import costs to increase their markup.
Globalisation will continue to expand ever further as Biden reverses Trump's "America First" strategy.
China will continue to grow rapidly while increasing it's influence on many countries around the world and will be increasingly more aggressive against trading rivals while she continues to build her empire. (British empire MKII)
History will continue to be rewritten by the "WOKE" brigade, many more historical events will be "reviewed" and the narratives changed to suit the political aspirations of a new vocal minority.
Electric cars will be sold at similar prices to the ICE equivalents, but far fewer vehicles will be sold due to the knock on affects of the pandemic resulting in less spending power for many.
Leaving cert results will be the worst for decades due to the interrupted school year.
Many of the pubs and shops shut by the lockdown will never reopen and more business will go online, also more people will stick with the "shebeens" that sprung up during the lockdown, or simply decide to stay drinking at home.
Working from home will continue to be the new normal as companies find that if staff are forced back to the office without good reason, they will vote with their feet and work elsewhere.
Big tax rises in the budget to pay for COVID.

No radical predictions there. But I'd say you will be right. Nice post

    You may call it harsh.

He's a moron. Just like his predecessor.

I won't say he's good or that any of them are good but he's nowhere near as bad as his predecessor.

kamala harris and her nasal mouth will fill the airwaves as the mouthpiece for the corrupt Obama & Clinton who will rule America from the back room. Many new wars will be started by USA to get the armaments factories back up to full tilt. Trump will buy his own news network to keep his 74 million voters warm for 2024 and he will be vociferous about absolutely everything they do in government.

Our government will continue to lick the asses of everyone everywhere to get gold stars and pats on the head but its will be harder as we are just a small island beyond Britain & no longer of much value our beef has been destroyed with the mercusor deal our fish, well they have almost all of the rights . So what do we have that Europe needs? - a big fat nothing we have nothing they want and they will soon make us tax the corporations too and they will then leave the tax haven that is Ireland.

We are destined to become an out post of Europe where they will dump as many of the undesirable immigrants they don't want & we cant do a thing about it. We will become an afterthought and Britain will soar in the future and give us the 2 fingers we should have left too.

What I think will happen to a lot of smaller non-Benelux EU countries is theyll become a kind of theme park run by Germany, France and Italy. Theyll give some grants to keep em looking pretty and send their tourists in return for allowing themselves to be assimilated. It's already happening in a lot of ways

Covid will never go to 0% in 2021.
People who don't take the vaccine will have to wear a yellow star/mask in public.

Banks will need a bailout again with all the bad loans/businesses going out of business but not as bad. They'll continue upping service charges.

Office space prices in Dublin will drop as companies embrace the hybrid model of people working from home and occasionally going into the office. Surrounding shops, sandwich bar, cafes etc will see a big drop in footfall.
Local shops in outlying counties will try to embrace the Starbucks model of offering free wifi and became office hubs away from the office.
Might reduce rental pressure in Dublin too, especially with landlords moving away from AirBnB during lockdowns.

Middle class workers will bear the brunt of the next few budgets.

The Irish racial equality board will recruit boards mods to enforce the new hate speech laws. They will wear a black uniform and walk around pubs throwing people out if they aren't talking positively about a subject on an approved list of liberal topics.

Wearing a yellow star like the Jews pre -world war 2 that's very controversial they have to be very careful how they handle the people who reserve the right not to take an unknown rushed vaccine into their blood streams demonizing them will cause more problems for them ..

They will have to rely on the compliant paddies to take the vax & i cannot see the ethnic minority Irish wearing masks or vaxxing - so just like dog licensing & horse passports why should I keep the law when they don't its a hornets nest they should quietly vax all the easy going folk who tug the furlough and hope for herd immunity and leave the anivaxxers alone there wont be that many . We are compliant idiots after all.

Herd immunity will kick in before the vaccination rollout reaches the young, fit & healthy population, but will still be spun as the cause of the virus's eradication next autumn.
