Hey everyone. I’ve never heard of the game sharing feature before.

So I have a Ps5 with no disc dive. My bro has shared me a game using this legitimate feature.

I’ve never done this before. I’ve read the official PlayStation spiel, but I honestly don’t understand it.

Can we both play the game simultaneously offline

I’ve logged on and it’s currently downloading

Sorry for what is possibly a basic question.

Yeah, you can play both games online as well at the same time

Hi Orwell, the steps can be found here

It actually works, just tried it for the first time myself. Never heard of this before.

Pretty much exact same way, been doing it since early xbox one and ps4 days. Nintendo is similar but a little more locked down.

Any risk Sony will block the account of the person sharing though?

Never heard of it myself and I've been doing it on both for years.

It's realistically why digital is a no brainer if you game with someone regularly. Can absolutely clean up in sales and all new releases are cheaper than physical.

    I'm probably over complicating this....

Do I log into my brother's PS5 with my account, and enable the console sharing on his account. Then log him in on my ps5, and enable console sharing on my account? Then his games will show in game library for me to download?

Or do I have to download them on his account (on my playstation?)

Just so I get this right, the person game sharing with me has to set my console as their primary console? So I lose auto download of updates and stuff like that.

    Is this correct?

I'm not 100% on auto updates, all my updates queue but I don't out the PS in rest mode.

You lose auto cloud saves but can do it manually.

So, pretty sure this is right.
    1. You sign into his console and set it up as primary.
    2. He signs into your console and set it up as primary.
    3. You have to sign into the account to download that accounts games.
    4. You can use the PS app to trigger downloads to any device but it has to be turned on usually.
