Anyone remember them? Opposite the post office.

It was a cold place but they had every movie (except the new ones :D)

Do the owners still live in Carlow?

No as far as I know they still own the building. The casino is run by a man from Portlaoise from what I can remember

I loved it, you could spend hours browsing!
    Kids videos for 50p.
We rented a video player and Never Ending Story there, before we bought one 😂 I was very young!
They had fines if you didn't rewind the videos before you returned them.

Loved it. Memory a bit a hazy of it now.

I think there was a narrow set of shelves with the new videos, then the rest of the shop was just classics and absolute rubbish! The horror section in particular sticks out, probably a lot of movies now well lost.

I remember renting Sega Megadrives overnight from them and some fuzzy memory of buying posters in there (they may have had a display of posters?).

I think they had a multi day rent option as well, we would take a new release home to the country for a few days!

posters in there alright. I used to rent one of the wee tellys with built in video player. Think it was a tenner deal or something including videos for two nights. jaysus - imagine

Leaks were taken in Quinnsworth car park, within the wall of the round tree. Not in JC.
