Mental Health Excuses are always rolled out as an excuse for the wrongdoings of scumbags, whether it be in Paris or Clonee. Exceptionally degrading and hurtful to genuine people who have these issues. I do agree with them in that Ireland has a big problem with racism but this problem is deeply entrenched in the woke themselves, and seems that some certain Ethnic minorities exhibit far higher levels of Racism towards Native White Irish people than receive in return from them.

I think there is a big divide within Sinn Fein support that hasn't really become apparent, and probably only would once in Government. Seems much bigger than other parties and would make the one in the Greens seem small.

Have certainly seen a divergence of opinion amongst SF supporters on this issue, and it's probably no surprise that the TDs have kept it pretty quiet and sensible with their statements.

Not to cast aspersions on your training or the validity of your qualifications but warning shots are mostly TV fiction. If they did occur by a police service then shooting into the ground is the last place you want to be firing. Horizontal and ground-wards aren't the brightest places to be letting off a bullet and if a service was providing that solution in training then you're living in a bone-headed country with a whacky police service.

Military can and do use warning shots (but even then it would wanna be some fairly hairy situation that you're not controlling and it would never be a top of the list option).

The irony is, if politicians stood up for law abiding society and condemned law breakers regardless of race or creed, I think they would command a lot more respect. Our AGS deserve thanks and support also. We should be allowed to say things that are true.
