Should have never got the job in the first place.

It's an honorary position, previously held by such luminaries as Sean Haughey, Royston Brady and Bertie Ahern (and his brother). Is there any particular reason why you feel Hazel Chu was ill-suited to the position?

As if the answer isn't staring us right in the face.

Hazel Chu is another tweeter who is the flavour of the month.

    Look at her tweets tonight.

That's why she shouldn't have got the job.

Warning shot for what? If he's moving away from the Gardai to go into the house why would they fire a "warning shot".

It does look like the first shot was into his back as he's going into the house

    Where you there?

    ****e post.

Please let us know how you get on here, interested to see if you get a response.

I will indeed. I've done the same before over various issues and managed to get responses and even a phone call with a local TD. A well measured and articulated email with enough people of influence CC'ed in on occasion gets noticed.

Am I reading this right, the Lord Mayor of Dublin has accused the Gardai of being racist for shooting a guy who was attempting to murder one of them?

Genuinely would like to see this tweet, apparently she deleted it fairly quickly.

No, it's a phrase heard all over Clonee.

They knew he had a significant history of domestic violence, gay bashing, violent assault on random people, robbery etc etc.

That's not why he was shot, he charged at them with a machete with incredible ferocity.

Has it come out officially that he has a violent past?

A good leader should be looking to calm hot heads, not stoking the flames, especially when the issue is so recent and not all information is known yet. Any clown can stir sh*t.

I'm finding it hard to believe tbh. Whatever about Murphy or Coppinger etc... but why would the Lord Mayor say something so hateful?

The video is clearly zoomed out with the front door and those around it indistinguishable when the first shot is fired. You're making assumptions to suit your viewpoint that he was entering the house at the time.

We need the tweet from earlier when she called the Gards racist.

    She obviously backtracked.

Is there a screenshot of this tweet anywhere?

He put that poor guy in Spar in hospital with a broken nose and teeth or is that too recent for you?

The thread she quoted as an example of a "good way to move forward" is saying that the police often make judgements based on bias towards minorities and treat them more harshly and should be investigated.

Some Lord Mayor. Retweeting random twitter threads accusing the Gardai of being racist after they risk their lives to protect the public.

Now maybe I'm tired and not seeing the sarcasm but I do honestly hope that is a joke....

Poor Ruth's been watching too much 'self-defence from attack with a banana' in her teens. God help us when sh1tehawks like her represent the Left. Bring back proper lefties please. Hardcore. Not populist lightweight sham lefties.
Ruth Coppinger, you're a clown of some notoriety. And your followers. Up there with Paul Murphy and his pretend defender of the people routine. Except when it's scum harassing ordinary folk on trains that is. Then it's those fascist Gardaí again, manhandling poor misled youth, high jinks with their glass bottles and punters heads. Until the scarecrows learned how to fly, to the air of 'Out ta f*ck you scrawny little sh1tes....'.

No one should have to kill another citizen. It's rare. Thank God. But the Gardaí have rules and are, in the main, held to account.
É.g the INLA on the bank ráid in Wicklow years back. Some say the Gardaí opened fire first but stories afterwards changed. BUT! If you were those Gardaí facing INLA with military weaponry, what would you do? If you were following orders of the OIC when they were attempting to calm this man down, and all procedures had been exhausted, you'd do as you are trained when lines are crossed. Shame on those making this a race issue. If any citizen raises weapons against another, in particular against unarmed Gardaí, they must be met with the threat of ferocity. And death.
That is exactly what happened, it appears. He made his moves. A young man, a dangerous age, his head filled with nonsense and fantasy. The rubber met the road tonight, and he played chicken with the ERU. Some gobsh1te and I pity him and his family that he was such a gobsh1te.

Those bullets saved an entire lifetime of pain and suffering ahead for innocent people, how many people would this guy have potentially killed? Look at the cost to society in terms of suffering and monetary loss also. There is plenty scumbags like him all over Ireland in all shades of colours and race, if alot more of their equals got the bullet our society would quickly clean up. There is no respect for people or for the law, there is no fear of punishment. He will not hurt anyone ever again and hopefully it might make some of his equals think twice before going out on a crime spree.

We need a strong armed police force ready to clamp down hard on criminals. If there is widespread protesting, looting and violence which I think there will be and with the breaking of the lowdown then Guards need to clampdown fast and hard. This is not a race thing, an immigration thing it is simple crime and justice.

Another absolute scumbag Mark Malone is! He is trying, as he always does to stir **** up, looking to dox the person running the Dublin live site and doesn't care about the cops or the Spar manager or the other victims of this criminal.

It is NYE tomorrow, media will be on the sauce. Hopefully there will be very little WOKISM over the weekend too. Media need to dial into the zeitgeist of this nation.

I will be communicating with that Greenie fecker if he stays awake for more than two hours at a stretch. They are a disgrace if they do not tell Chu to go to hell now.

Interesting when something like this happens in our own country and people suddenly take the side of the police.

When it's in America, they view it differently.

It's not surprising or anything to worry about. In Ireland, policy shootings are incredibly rare so the starting position should be that they were justified.

What the hell is Hazel Chu at? I seen her Twitter post earlier but now it's gone.
What is she doing? She's had a rethink and realised her post is flaming the mob? What kind of people get these positions of authority.
I'm not in Dublin but I'd be contacting the council if she was my mayor. She needs to be checked for that stuff.
Whatever about Coppinger, she isn't a politician now and should be ignored but Hazel is and she carries authority by virtue of the position she's need given.

Camera zooms in right at the moment suspect is going towards front door with his back to the ASU man

First shot hits and suspect turns to face ASU and lunges at ASU garda and is shot 4 more times
