Could very easily have been a one point game at half time. If we can sort the discipline we should win comfortably, Edinburgh are very average but we're giving them easy access to our 22.

Connacht had a 20 point lead but this one is far from over you feel.

20 point lead but quickly concede 12 points and get a player sin binned. Not good.

Connacht seem determined to throw this game away due to poor discipline.

    Down to 13 now.

That Blade is actually shockingly a very good player

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,341 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

That try was incredible from Jennings and then Blade.

They really didn't implode for a change when things went wrong. Very encouraging stuff.

You'd better rein that in! EAW will not agree.

Very impressed by young Jennings. He's putting in some shift off the bench.

Best performance of the season so far

A lot to like about that alright.

Mcnulty had his best game in green, which was great to see.

First time in a while we didn't win the lineout battle and still won which is encouraging.

We're going to see a lot of Forde and Jennings in the next few years, both look absolute ballers.

Bizarre game. 3 trys to 1 at half time with little to no possession. Defensively we are so much better. Forde and Farrell were immense. Hawkshaw was not shabby and Tom Daly did a great job when he came in. Could not believe Caolin's second try was given as he clearly lost control of the ball but at the same time the Kinghorn try was a crazy decision as well. How can you come in from the side with the ball still in the ruck and award a try. If the referee could not see this then you have to worry about the level of officiating at these games. And Jennings looks a very handy player

And let's not take away from the fact that is a bonus point win which was critical

Need favours from Scarlets and Ulster to stay there. Scarlets leading Sharks 10-0 currently.

Would like Glasgow to win too, less likely to need a win the last weekend and drags Munster back into the pack. Who have two games in South Africa to come

If the ball is on the line the player can just come in and dot it down, that's legal. I thought he had actually started his run before Marmion rolled the ball back but the camera angles were inconclusive so it had to be given I suppose. It was poor from Marmion though, it needed to be picked straight and kicked away.

Got one or two breaks at important times today. As well as the intercept the yellow for the shoulder to head could have easily been red with another ref. But Edinburgh made a complete hash of 15 v 13 and ended up with one of their own in the bin, which was the turning point.

Really liked the look of Jennings.

Top seven must be a reasonable possiblity now, need to go all out at home to Cardiff.

Jeepers Galwegians needs points in last 2 games to avoid relegation. Don't think Corinthians will do them any favours by fielding weak team next week

I hear what you say Cosmo. But surely you can't come in from the side?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,688 ✭✭✭BrokenMan

No offside line when the ball is over/on the try line

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,036 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

You can come in from anywhere once it's on the line as I understand it.

About 20 minutes left in the Sharks Scarlets game, sharks just got a try to make the score 26-17 to Scarlets

  • Registered Users Posts: 220 ✭✭AccidentallyOnside

    29-20 for scarlets

    14-38 for Glasgow

No match points for Munster or Sharks yet

This weekend could scarcely be going better

    Edit: 32 -20 now

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,036 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

Finishes 32-20. 0 match points for the Sharks.

Munster get a single match point at home to Glasgow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 220 ✭✭AccidentallyOnside

Munster with the try bonus. 26-38 in the end.

Think thst could be a big bonus point for them.

I don't see them winning in SA but could see them getting 2-3 bonus points.

Means even if we beat Cardiff we'll need something out of the Glasgow game.

Great sign for the league that each game has so much riding on it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,036 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

A bonus point win against Cardiff guarantees a top 8 finish now. A non bonus point win would probably be enough.

Would then need something in Glasgow or a favour elsewhere to get to seventh.

  • Registered Users Posts: 220 ✭✭AccidentallyOnside

Think we'll need to win all 3 for top 7.

Bulls and sharks both home for both of their last two games.

Bulls have Zebra and, what you'd imagine will be a reserve, Leinster.

    Sharks have Benetton and Munster.

Only one real gimme there but think the smart money would be on 4 home wins.

Very happy to be proven wrong. Clinical performance when we got chances. Still lots of frustration with aspects of the restarts and indiscipline but happy that we closed the door within a few minutes of opening it.

Good day of results all round in terms of our play off hopes. Munster getting the 4 try bonus could be important for them. Hopefully Ulster can deny Bulls points in their game to drag them into the mix.

Of course our decisive game is against our old rivals Cardiff. Too many permutations to consider for Top 7 but win that game and Top 8 is secured and we can then see what's to play for in round 18.
