    ACL it's confirmed?

Unfortunately it appears so (just got a notification on the ultimate rugby app confirming it). Awful news for Denis, and the timing is particularly $hitty for him personally when the season is just ending and he'd ordinarily be looking forward to some time off.

Awful news about Buckley. Will likely miss all of next season. Would imagine Connacht will now look for dispensation from the IRFU to sign another prop.

Shocking for Buckley, really gutting two games from end of season.

On the centre rumours I would be a bit surprised if they are true but not like Connacht are crazy well stacked either with O’Brien going.

Aki between being out till October after Lions and November tests and Six Nations will probably play 6-10 games next season.

That leaves four. I like Peter Robb as a player but the poor guy has no luck with injury, I mean it must be 30% or less games he has been available for last few season.

Which leaves three senior centres, one of whom returning from long term injury. The league is about to get a lot more physical too with introduction of South African teams.

A signing would make a fair bit of sense tbh.

That should be a red card for Ospreys for ruining a 95m try

That was so close to a try that would be replayed over and over. In the end it works out quite well. Connacht score anyway and Webb binned.

Connacht, defensive mauls with oppo a man down, that's woeful

Yeah poor defence for sure but I thought the 1st ospreys carrier lost the ball forward and the guy who had latched on him ended up touching down.

Surprised there wasn't more made of it.

    Great response anyway

    How good is Caolin Blade?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,982 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

Ospreys not looking too interested in defence, falling off tackles all over the place.

So, how are Connacht going to Connacht this?

    Pendergast.

We having a bad night on kick off receiving as we regularly do. That's 2 we've failed to gather although were lucky one went backwards I think

So, how are Connacht going to Connacht this?

It will probably involve a maul

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,952 ✭✭✭TRC10

    Pendergast.

Massive carry up the middle there. Really impressive last week too.

Really looks like one for the future.

Big scoring game. A try every 5 minutes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,129 ✭✭✭testtech05

Jack looks to be playing with a bit more confidence today couple of excellent conversions too on the earlier tries

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,129 ✭✭✭testtech05

That's never a deliberate knock on. Popped it up I thought but on 2nd view at full speed maybe not

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

Jeez that’s a harsh call. He wasn’t far from regaining that

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

Big play by Carty on that maul.

Didn’t think I’d be saying that ever

Where did that maul come from. Going backwards then a couple of lads just powered it backwards

Murray is improving at a fast pace too

    Try saver by Wooton.

With Dillane and Thornbury there too, there's the bones of a good pack there for the next few years anyway.

Hopefully the South African fella coming in can get the best out of them.

1st great tackle I've ever seen by Wootton, great for next season!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,982 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

The lack of scrummaging power coming from second row is a big concern.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,129 ✭✭✭testtech05

Aungier made a big difference to the last scrum.
A bit of a typical performance really. Look really good on attack at times but an ospreys team who haven't really attacked or had any concerted pressure bar the end of the half have 3 tries and only 7 behind

Never has a try bonus point before ht meant so little as it does when Connacht do it
