    Hi sjoyce87,

Thanks for the post and apologies for the delay getting back to you!

If you're looking a great system I would actually recommend the Yamaha Musiccast! The Vinyl 500 is a great turntable that can be wirelessly connected to any other Yamaha Musiccast component (amp, soundbar or wireless speaker) via the Musiccast app. It also has Bluetooth so you aren;t limited by Musiccast either.

    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203743-yamaha-musiccast-vinyl-500-white-ttn503-bluetooth-turntable.aspx?swapstore=1

For the speakers, are you looking for a traditional amp and speakers or a standalone Bluetooth/Wireless speaker?

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David

    Thanks for the reply,
The internet is terrible in our house (rural ireland) so he'd be looking for a more traditional setup, turntable, amp and speakers.. with the added bonus of bluetooth for playing downloaded music from spotify etc. I don't think there's any need for anything wireless.. will be just in a room on it's own.. but as I said I wouldn't have a clue, whatever fits in the budget and gives a decent sound..
    Thanks

    Hi sjoyce87,

Thanks for getting back to me!

In that case you could go for any amplifier and speakers that have Bluetooth built in and any turntable as you will be streaming to the amp rather than the turntable!

I would recommend an amp like the Yamaha RN603 with a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 50s and a Project Debut Carbon!

Let me know what you think of this set up!

    Hi David,

I came across this in a search.

I may be interested in a vinyl setup that has a bit of flexibility for my son for his 21st birthday. He has been buying some vinyl but I would like a setup with a little portability in it as his bedroom is quite small and I would like for him to be able to setup in another room.

I do have an amplifier with a preamp in the sitting room and he might be able to connect into that or have his own mini system to connect into.

    Thanks

    Hi DixieFly.

There is nothing portable so to speak and you would still have to disconnect the turntable to move it from system to system.

The Musiccast Vinyl 500 would still need an amp and speakers for it to work.
However if you purchased an amp with Musiccast then you would not need to connect the turntable using wires as the Musiccast app would connect the products.
Yamaha produce the CRXN470D which would pair with the Vinyl 500 priced at 339 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-202264-yamaha-crxn470d-black-streaming-mini-system-exc-speakers.aspx

We also have several deals with speakers listed on our site for this product:
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/cssearch.aspx?searchterm=n470&swapstore=1#pgnum=&sort=

If you went up to full size seperates then there is the RN602 at 439 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201953-yamaha-rn602-black-black-network-stereo-receiver.aspx

And again we have a few bundles on our site including speakers:
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/cssearch.aspx?searchterm=rn602#pgnum=&sort=

    Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Kenny, thanks for that. I'll check and see if we think its an option.

    Thanks Kenny,

Does the turntable connect into a standard amplifier (for instance the Yamaha RX-V667 which I purchased off yourselves).

Is there an alternative bluetooth turntable that's not as expensive?

Is there a package of turntable and amp and speakers that you have?

    Hi DixieFly.

A turntable can connect into a normal AV receiver as long as it has a built in phono stage.

You could not connect via Bluetooth to the RXV667.

Is there a particular reason for going for a bluetooth turntable?

For one more reasonably price there is the Sony 310BT priced at 225 Euro (Very popular turntable)
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203989-sony-pslx310bt-bluetooth-turntable.aspx

If you wanted to use the Bluetooth feature then you can skip an amp and connect straight to an active pair of speakers.
Pioneer have the DM40 priced at 199 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-205101-pioneer-dm40bt-black-bluetooth-active-speakers-per-pair-stock-erratic.aspx

If you wanted a bit more quality there is the Klipsch R-41PM priced at 429 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-204037-klipsch-r-41pm-black-bluetooth-active-speakers-per-pair.aspx

The Sony 310BT has a built in phono stage and can also be connected straight into your Yamaha. (The 310BT also has hard wired phone cables)

    Let me know your thoughts.

    No problem at all.

Let me know if you want me to stick up a few HiFi separate quotes.

Just give me the rough budget and I'll see what I can come up with.
