Goo Goo Dolls advances to the next round. 5-1.

Out of curiosity, how come Sia's Under The Mistletoe was not in the playoffs first - it was only nominated by one person as far as I can see?

So 24 songs avoided the playoffs. The 24 qualified on 2 things. Firstly was multiple noms. 19 songs qualified on that basis.

The next 5 songs qualified based off chart positions. The higher the chart positions the higher the seed.

Once Upon a Christmas Song gets my vote as it's just a better song, pure and simple. I hesitated about its nomination because I have heard it "over and over and over again", but I do like it! Proper Crimbo was okay when it first came out as a kind of novelty Bo Selecta thing, but as a tune it's a bit all over the place and the novelty factor has come and gone. Even it's creator (Leigh Francis, aka Avid Merrion, aka Keith Lemon) has moved on!

Hate both of them but Geraldine is slightly less bad so gets my vote

Apart from the fact that I nominated it, Oh Santa is a much better song so gets my vote. I had a quick listen to the first, which I don't think I heard before, but I can't be sure as it is pretty forgettable!

Gwen Stefani for me. Heard it a good bit on Christmas FM & it really grew on me as the season progressed.

I actually thought this was a cover of a 50s classic, I like the retro vibe:

As highlighted, I have selected Kylie's song. It's tolerable while the other one isn't!

Kylie... should be so lucky to get through with that song.

The Ravenoettes is a better song, but just doesn't hit me as Chrismassy.

    So voting for Robbie Williams.

Well, I have to say that I was all set to vote for The Ravenottes until I listened to Robbie Williams' song and I have to admit his song is the better of the two. It's a very pleasant, almost nostalgic, tune.

The Raveonettes, I love that song.

    Robbie Williams

Was surprised to see he released it for Christmas 2019 as I have no recollection of hearing it that Christmas, and first heard it in 2020 on Christmas FM, I tend to like Robbie Williams anyway but thought this was Robbie at his nostalgic, melodic best... this was downloaded and added to my playlist pretty early after Christmas FM launched.

Also, I'm the exact same, DvB- no recollection of that song in 2019.

    * Already voted, this is just a discussion comment

Strangely this is the Robbie song I remember from Christmas 2020, Can't Stop Christmas Time... which hasn't aged well :(

I was only aware of that one as I mentioned liking 'time for change' to my Mrs she thought I meant that one 'cant stop christmas' which she wasn't overly keen on, so we you-tubed it & i copped I had heard it on Christmas FM in the background when working, remember thinking at the time it was odd Robbie having 2 singles out at the same time for Christmas, hence checking back to see when they were released & discovering time for change was a year old.

    And Robbie take the win.

I do recollect this song from Robbie William in 2019 as it's from his Christmas Album in 2019 which he re-released in 2020 with the new song Can't Stop Christmas.

The Christmas album is decent, a mix of covers with originals.
