    Hi there,

Can anyone here help with the new course handicap calculations?
Here's what I have so far, although in the scrambles I'm not sure if the x 95% is right, (Should that be left at 100%), Also in the last two sections Fourball & Fourball Stableford & Fourball Better Ball/Par/Bogey I'm not sure if I need to add the x 95% or leave it as is at 100%

    100% Handicap
    Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113)

    95% Handicap
    Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95%

4 Player Scramble - Lowest to Highest
    Player 1 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 25%
    Player 2 -Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 20%
    Player 3 -Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 15%
    Player 4 -Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 10%

3 Player Scramble - Lowest to Highest
    Player 1 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 20%
    Player 2 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 15%
    Player 3 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 10%

2 Player Scramble - Lowest to Highest
    Player 1 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 35%
    Player 2 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 15%

    Foursome Strokeplay
    Player 1 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 50%
    Player 2 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95% x 50%

    Fourball & Fourball Stableford
    Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 85%

    Fourball Better Ball/Par/Bogey
    Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 90%

Slide 21 will be your starting point but nothing there on when the two roundings happen

Below is a good reference for the WHS:
    https://www.congu.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/WHSDocs/Handicapping-Advice.pdf

95% is just a handicap allowance that's applied to a course handicap. That's the percentage used in singles strokeplay / stableford competitions.

    For scrambles / foursomes / 4bbb it's a different handicap allowance. The recommendation is 30% | 20% | 10% for a 3 person scramble. But you've got the 2 and 4 person team percentages right, just leave out the x 95%.

For foursomes strokeplay, it's (player 1's rounded course handicap + player 2's rounded course handicap) / 2.

The percentages for the 3 different fourballs are right, just as long as it the rounded course handicap that's used.

All of the above starts to get a little bit more complicated if both men and women are allowed to play in the same competition! The differences in course ratings have to be taken into account when more than one set of tees are used.

Thanks for the help lads, Very helpful

Question with the 4,3 and 2 player scrambles - are their handicaps rounded first and then totaled or are they totaled first and then rounded?

    95% Handicap
    Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 95%

4 Player Scramble - Lowest to Highest
    Player 1 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 25% (Rounded or not Rounded?)
Player 2 -Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 20% (Rounded or not Rounded?)
Player 3 -Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 15% (Rounded or not Rounded?)
    Player 4 -Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 10% (Rounded or not Rounded?) + 4 TOTALS

3 Player Scramble - Lowest to Highest
    Player 1 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 20% (Rounded or not Rounded?)
    Player 2 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 15% (Rounded or not Rounded?)
    Player 3 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 10% (Rounded or not Rounded?) + 3 TOTALS

2 Player Scramble - Lowest to Highest
    Player 1 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 35% (Rounded or not Rounded?)
    Player 2 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 15% (Rounded or not Rounded?) + 2 TOTALS

    Foursome Strokeplay
    Player 1 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 50% (Rounded)
    Player 2 - Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 50% (Rounded)

    Fourball & Fourball Stableford
    Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 85%

    Fourball Better Ball/Par/Bogey
    Handicap Index x (Slope Rating / 113) x 90%

I dont think you will get a definitive answer here. The rounding wasnt exactly communicated well for the stableford. And it differs between regions.

World term should be used loosely in WHS
