Series X Backwards Compatibility

    Hi All,

Apologies if this is a really basic question but I've tried to search for an answer but can't. I tried to play, via disc, the 360 game civilization revolution on my series x but nothing happened, I also tried guitar hero but the same thing (ok I know you're prob cringing at my game choices).

I googled and it did say that Civ Rev was backwards compatible, indeed it's in the store to buy for 30 Euro as a download. I also tried a DVD to check the disc drive was actually working and it prompted me to install an app to play the DVD.

My question is, do I need to download an app or do something special to play the disc, or is it only backward compatible if you download it?

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or if it's just the case it won't play the disc.

    Thanks in advance :)

Does the game show up in the box where you normally press A to start a game when loaded into the Xbox?

Nothing happens, the disc goes in and nothing.
