They shud give all these cranks a job working on a 'study' like just give them loads of forms to fill out. It will keep them busy and not wasting doctors time and also make them feel better. Just bin the forms when they are submitted of course.

Like on the Simpsons when certain staff members were given the job of minding a bee in a jar in the basement during an inspection

How did these people get it ,were they follow the rules or what.
Thousands of supermarket workers working away every day dealing with the public and very few of them got it.
Busy work places or busy public transport?
Plenty of people about and using them in Feb and March I think last year?
Its literally the only place I could have got it (if I had it)

All other facilities to be closed by 3pm.

RTE are ringing all these people back to create the whole story that masses of people are experiencing issues after having COVID. They certainly didn't ring the parents from the REGRET group that's for sure.

    RTE are creating the story.

Caller, I walked to the test centre, masked, in de open air as I was too wobbly to drive. Avoiding spreading whatever it might be at all costs.

I know dat, I know dat!

You and I talked off line about how you were feeling around the time, and a test was definitely needed, but some people are getting the sniffles and heading off for a test.

I had swine flu when it was around and sweet lord Id never call a cold a flu, you cannot move with real flu. Should I ring Joe?

The distinct characteristic of Influenza is that it hits you suddenly, like inside of an hour, and you'll be forced to your bed very rapidly. A cold comes on gradually. Covid seems to creep up over days and CAN get very bad OR it can be like a much drier type of cold.

Surely if this show was at all half serious, they should be getting some sort of medical expert on to speak about "long Covid"?

You and I talked off line about how you were feeling around the time, and a test was definitely needed, but some people are getting the sniffles and heading off for a test.

The trouble is the public health advice can be a bit vague, in that people with sniffles could be concerned they have a virus they could spread to vulnerable relatives. It's often difficult to decide what's for the best.

Friday will be 8 weeks from Christmas day, a good measure point for massive drops. Maybe not 500 new cases that day but there or thereabouts.
