"Hey, those Mossad lads love the Irish passports!"
    "Ha, don't forget the Americans"

"Oh yeah, thanks for the history lesson!"
    "You're welcome!"

In this universe...four pages of tense discussion whether anti-semitism can be inferred from a pattern of posting history.
    The Russians too?!?

And, while I'm at it, the Russians have also used fake Irish passports for intellegence purposes - Ireland expelled a Russian diplomat over this

Why are we looking at these things differently?

    - USA: happened before a lot of posters were born, or before they could read.
Irish passport details came out years after the fact
Passports at the time could be easily faked as they were hand written
No-one directly killed while traveling under Irish passport
No mass/social media at the time.

    - Israel: happened recently. We could all read/exist.
All over news channels and social media.
Irish passport details came out at the same time as 5hebrest of the story
    Biometric passports were supposedly unfavorable
Person killed while travelling under passport.

    - Russia: Little detail of particular events involved was came out
Attractive woman was involved, so the story was covered in a tabloid style and easily forgotten/dismissed.

I remember thinking at the time that the 'Irish' surnames used by those Israeli assassins were pretty unbelievable.

    Not your ornery onager

Hmmmm, I may be mixing my russian spies up, but that probably helps them not get brought up in these discussions.

Did we not have this exact same thread yesterday or am I having deja vu?
The only people who love Irish passport more than Irish people are the Israel's :<
    Why is this anti-Semitism allowed?

It's certainly a bit strange that some posters' first reaction is to bring up the issue of Israeli spies (occasionally) travelling on Irish passports. (this also happened in the closed thread).

Lads, it's obvious that Quantum Erasure is a Mossad spy trying to put ye off the scent.

Crafty divil so he is. Even for a Mossad fella.

He even gets some of my darker attempted jokes when others think they are serious lose their shit over them

It's easier for the Russians. They only need one fake passport.

They all travel on that one - just stored inside each other in descending size.

The Russians are a bit inept when it comes to the whole spies-and-passports thing.

Remember the Russian lads who made a weekend trip to Salisbury to see the cathedral and had nothing at all to do, no sir, with the chemical weapons attack which, by an amazing coincidence, was perpetrated on the very weekend that they were there?

Turned out that, though unrelated to one another, they had entered the UK on consecutively-numbered (Russian) passports which had all been issued on the same day about two years previously.

Western intelligence agencies promptly did a data trawl for the consecutively-numbered passports higher and lower in the same sequence, issued on the same day, and thereby identified a further 37 Russian intelligence agents.
