Tried it and got the can't verify your location ! Mexico was one of only a few that didn't return that error to me and i used 3 or 4 different vpns. It also happened to be the cheapest of the ones i had no issues with. Anyways i'm happy at that compared to going full Irish prices and will see how long i live in Mexico !

I had been on Indian yt prob just as long as that, without a single glitch until this recent clampdown, so I guess it's a case of when, and not if they eventually catch up with accounts using the loophole.

(mind you, If you slip through the net, great for you)

I guess it's just a waiting game now for someone to discover a workable solution for the rest of us, but in the meantime I'm now in Romania lol

You should be allowed to get the Poland rate without YouTube asking for a Poland bank issued card. If YouTube asked it would be a breach of free movement of cross border services. Intra community trade and all that jazz

I've had an Argentine proxy enabled for YouTube.com for probably 2 months now, but I also just got the email saying the game is up after 4 years, so it's purely down to the country of the VISA/Mastercard used to pay and nothing to do with IP addresses. They seem to be cracking down in waves.

I use PIA and the price in Egypt for the family was £85 which is about €1.60.

It seems hit and miss what happens but might not be all over yet. Around a year ago (whenever the law in India changed)I got similar message and spent most of a weekend trying to update everything/find virtual card/ look for vouchers all to no avail and was ready to give up but when the time came the money was taken from the original card (Revolut if it matters). Still going fine after several years, might be an issue when the card expires. I have 2 payment profiles on my account one for Ireland and one for India open to correction on the exact term)- I can't remember how I set up the profiles but it was a long time ago.

You will see price of 46 plz (just over a tenner) for family plan

I used my existing Revolut card

Processed immediately. I was using VPN unlimited and it wouldn’t allow Romania, Mexico, Egypt amongst others. Likely down to the vpn; perhaps an alternative, nord for example, might give different result, but I’m happy with the price for a full group.

The fact it’s EU proper just might also allow for a good run and avoid us paying €26 p/mth, not that I would be if it came to that.
