Looking to update home theatre system

Hi guys..First time posting on here so I hope I have the right forum.

I currently have a Bush DLED43UHDHDRSA which is connected to this system. https://www.philips.co..._05/5.1-home-theatre .

Now this is a fairly old system , so I'm looking for something more modern.

I'm currently tempted by something like this.. https://www.denon.com/...avreceiver/avrx1500h ..

However, the Denon does not have a DVD player, which I was hoping for.

So can anyone recommend something similar to the Denon, but with a DVD player?

Also, something that could maybe use the existing speakers from the Phillips unit..

My budget for around the end of February will be around €400/€450 ish.

Thanks for the post.

It is very difficult to get an one in one box system these days.
It's not really something that we have it stock.

There is usually the Yamaha YHT1840 which is an amp a 5.1 speaker setup for 399 Euro but it is currently out of stock (No ETA just yet on more stock)

You would jut need to add a DVD or Blu Ray player to that system.

The Denon AVRX1500 is also not one that we stock.
Our starting point in a Denon receiver is the AVRX550BT coming in at 279 Euro

It looks like it'll be the Denon. And not because it's cheaper, but because it has Bluetooth.

I presume I can use the subwoofer and speakers from my old Phillip's system for the Denon 550??

Time to put some money away. ðŸ˜

Hi MrFrisp.

You speakers will work with the Denon by using the bare copper ends and connecting them into the speaker terminals on the 550BT.

Your subwoofer will not work as it seem to be passive and the Denon uses an active one.
