Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mira Platinum Duo Blocked Filter

    Hi

    I've had a Mira Platinum Duo for about 6 years.

    The cold feed is directly beside it from the water tank and the hot feed is 3/4 inch from the vented hot water cylinder.

    The unit is installed in the attic above the shower.

    About every 3-6 months the filter on the hot side of the pump gets blocked with like a brown green sludge.

    I have to remove the filter and clean it with a toothbrush. To try stop this, I added a Y strainer which did catch a lot but hasn't stop the filter in the shower itself getting blocked.

    The cold filter remains clean all the time.

    I had bought some fine mesh, that I was going to insert into the Y strainer to try catch more of the dirt.

    Any ideas why this is happening? We do live in a hard water area.
