Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have idea what her book is about, or why she is famous.

An intro wouldn't of gone a miss Ryan.

I wonder how these types of celebs end up getting on to chat nonsense?

Is there a big database in the entertainment circuit, where tv and radio shows can look up who is available for a chat?

I mean, what made this radio show production team say " let's get Stacey Solomon on to chat about nothing".

Why doesn't he check her about letting kids on laptops and screens?

It's usually a bugbear of his.

    Because he's pandering.

She's doing a publicity run for the book. She was on UK TV the other evening as well

It's his fake laughs for me. So disingenuous.
Also, "your baby's crying is going through me..how do you stick it?" line was unbelievablely rude. Such utter rubbish, banal conversation.

She’d be more of the well and softly spoken Nordie accent type. It’s barely audible.

I do however that no matter where I go in the country the girls of families don’t have particularly strong accents, while the boys almost always verge on exaggerating the strength of it. It’s rather peculiar and intriguing.

Some weeks ago a dead ringer soundalike of Arlene Foster cold called me from Dogs Trust. In all honesty I really did think Arlene was doing a bit of work on the side... then I thought maybe it's Mrs ButtersSuki, what with the animal welfare aspect and dat. Was going to ask her does she like Westies. :D

She has a new book out (still not sure what it's about), and the publisher has publicists. Who make her available and arrange the interviews.

She doesn’t sound half as stupidly contrived and odd as when she first came in the scene

    All put on!

    Awful radio.
But sure try to hype it up as a 'real' persons life.

Another 8 mins of waffle and fake texts now to take it to the end.

    It's probably a join-the-dots or a colour by numbers book ;)

The listener doenst matter here caller.

The objective of the show is to meet the requirement to broadcast something from 9 to 10am so that Ryan's tax avoidance company can invoice rte and it meets that requirement on a daily basis.

It doesnt have to be good and they dont even have to try. Most of the country is stuck at home at the moment and plenty radios are left on in the background after morning ireland. Things like research and any effort over the bare minimum are a waste of time when you have sticky buns to go out and eat!

Is there less talk of freebies in recent weeks?

Do you think he got told to stop mentioning them?

Definite reduction in mentions. There was one or two occasions where he mentioned that 'someone' texted in for some reason to say they received xyz product.

Unsure what's the story on the Instagram as I don't have it but there was mention one time that there was going to be another Irish company promotion drive on the Instagram but there was no more said about it bar that one fleeting comment.

    Definitely warned off, I’d say.

A short while ago, he called out a freebie someone else received, which was both unusual and a smart work around. Don’t think he has the concentration skills to keep that up.

There have been a few formal complaints made about it.

RTE responded to the complaints by stating that all freebies sent to Tubridy were either returned to the senders or else donated to charities, but this was obviously bollix because Tubridy has now stopped bragging about freebies.

Checked that Amazon Hitler moustache thing.

I don't know how they thought it looked like a Hitler moustache.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-56266514

Have they not heard of Chaplin?

More like a Bart Simpson haircut to me.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

    He wouldn't dare mispronounce Chaila

She has won Irish album of the year it seems

No doubt Bryan will give her a spin and maybe even a “shout out” on the show tomor in celebration

Just be warned - do not pronounce her name in any way unsuitable to her

Only Tubridy could draw an equivalence between the rift within the younger elements of the British Royal Family, and the Beatles after Yoko came on the scene.

Who else would even think of linking the two?
