Lenovo ideapad where is the @ symbol?!

Hi, new laptop, keyboard set to UK English. The @ symbol key should be - shift 2, that is where it is on the keyboard but no combination of alt, shift keys will get you the symbol. Yet you can get it with - shift " What the devil? Any ideas?

On UK keyboards the @ is down right, on US it's on the 2 key.
