Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone have a cat flap that works off microchip installed?
How do you find it? Any brand recommendations? Downsides? Thanks

    Sureflap.

Have had one for years since our vet recommended one. Works perfectly. Uses 4 x AA batteries and they last around 6 months with one cat using it. There's a warning light when batteries getting low. The lady that currently uses it has indoor and outdoor permissions coded in but we also have other indoor cats trained and coded with in only permissions so in case they got out they can come in but not back out again. You can also lock it manually for times like Halloween etc. so it won't open at all. Coding is easy, just set it and get the cat to pass through it. We had it in original wooden door but had it reinstalled in new Palladio door when we changed and no problems.

Thanks very much for the reply. Just had a look at them there, pretty reasonable price. Is it easy installed? Did you do it yourself?

The original in the wooden door I did. There's a template for the cut out comes with it so a bit of patience and a jigsaw and it was fine. But then when we were getting the new PVC door I took it out of the old door and gave it into the supplier and they fitted it.
