Cheap amp and speakers

Hi there
A friend is looking for an amp (with a phono stage) and bookshelf speakers for around 400 - 450 euros in total. You don’t seem to do the cheap Cambridge amps you used to do. Have you something else you could recommend? Many thanks.

Thanks for the post!

The cheaper Cambridge amps don't come with Phono stages unfortunately. The cheapest I would have available with a built in phono stage would be the Yamaha AS301 which is a great amp at 295 euro!

You could pair this with a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 1s which are currently down in price to 119 euro but are a great speaker for the money.

Cambridge no longer produce their entry level amps with the built in phono stage.

You could go for the Cambridge AXA25 and then add the Project Phono MM. This would come to 308 Euro
