Tried to get in Dias for Taylor!

*Dias and Antonio to go up in price tonight it looks like.

Kinda want to use a wildcard this week, but i know there's more DGW ahead so i might use it down the line.

Otherwise it'll be Konsa to Wan Bissaka

I would quite happily use it this week if I didn't feel like I was simply chasing points... the players I wanted all scored but didn't have the Stones (:o) to go to -12 or do the WC last week

Will wait til the matches are over

    Already done Salah to KdB.

Looking at TAA & Raphina to Maddison & 4.5m defender for -8

As week after can do Soucek to Barnes then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,676 ✭✭✭thunderdog

Robertson and Soucek to Stones and Grealish

Leaves me with a midfield which I’ve been trying to get to for a good while

    KDB Salah Bruno Son Grealish

Also tempted by Maddison but Grealish is more reliable over longer time periods

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,849 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Raphinha and somebody out for a hit for Grealish/Maddison and somebody else.

Salah or Bruno to make way perhaps...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,815 ✭✭✭bantee

Neto to Maddison and I've .2 to spare after it

If KdB is injured that will be a pain to address

Replace with Gungdogon and imagine all the money you then have to spend elsewhere!

    But will he start!!!

that's the whole problem and if KdB is out does Pep change his style of play and what does that mean for everyone else.

Also have Werner that needs to go

If Salah shows anything promising tomorrow he could be an Option, otherwise Maddison at their great run.

A left field choice would be Pereira for West Brom.

He has started 9 of the last 10 which at City is as close to nailed on as you can get and at the price is a stonewall no brainer if you have a free City spot if KDB is injured

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,416 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

And with the FA cup fixture, which KDB wouldn't have played in anyways, we won't really know until Monday what the story with KDB is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,129 ✭✭✭NabyLadistheman

    Probably KDB to Rashford

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 602 ✭✭✭CSWS101

Foden in now KDB is out? Passed the eye test yesterday anyway, been really impressive

I think so..-8 for.me at the moment, dias / stones, foden / gundogan, and Antonio or Cavan in I think. For dallas /kwp, kdb and wood.

Don't want to waste the wildcard too early but all of a sudden I have loads of fires to put out.

Anyone have any strong feeling one way or another between Maddison and Barnes?

Maddison is the one I'd normally go for, but stats says Barnes

I'd probably go Maddison based on his form and his interview the other night where he said they had been working on trying to get him scoring more goals. I like Barnes but I find him a frustrating asset to own at times.

Salah out Madison in. If the KDB injury keeps him out for a while Son in for him.

Considering taking a - 4 this GW now
    Sterling Cavani Out
    Grealish Vardy In
Taken to many hits recently to just jump on it

Grealish will be suspended if he's booked Saturday

    Vardy in?????

    WC team first draft;

    Martinez (Steer)

    Cancelo, Stones, Chilwell (Justin, Dunne)

    Son, Grealish, Bruno, Foden (ESR)

    Vardy, Kane, Antonio

Apart from the weak bench because I neglected team value are there any other major faults??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 602 ✭✭✭CSWS101

    Salah out, anyone in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,695 ✭✭✭✭siblers

    Probably KDB to Rashford

I'm struggling to see any appeal with Rashford

Don't get Steer, it will block you getting a 3rd Villa player for their double game weeks.

I found that out the hard way, I've had both since week 3. The rest of the team looks very good, I wouldn't change anything.

You just going to leave KDB on the bench so for 3 maybe more GW's?

I can't have him sitting on my bench at that cost.

A very boring KDB to Gundogan I'd imagine. City's next 3 fixtures are too good for no attacking coverage, Gundogan seems to be on pens too.

If Arsenal do sign Odengaard on loan from Real Madrid, that will have an impact on ESR starts probably.

Could Gundo go back into midfield with Kev out though?

I was gonna go for 3 city at the back, something interesting I read on Twitter is that if City had a game cancelled you could only field 10 because you'd have max 2 defenders. It's probably unlikely but I need every edge I can get at this stage!

Good Point. You could put Ederson as a third city cover however, if a game got cancelled you would be able to field 11 still

Sterling might get overlooked a bit here. He'll have frustrated people a bit, but he only has 9 points less than KDB this season and has played less minutes. Hard to see him not playing the games when De Bruyne is out.......right?

I have him but I'm not convinced. He scored a very unexpected free kick against Palace right at the death and he didn't look like scoring at all against Villa. I'd say he is more or less nailed to start though and they do have some tasty fixtures.

That’s all it is for me. A player with pedigree, who is nailed to start in juicy fixtures is usually a good choice.

He is expensive so maybe not for people who could do with using the funds elsewhere for other premium guys.

Shopping for a cheapy (4.2 and under) def who might occasionally pick something up. Have Mitchell already, any suggestions? Any point to Lewis or Taylor at the moment?

I know Leicester have some great fixtures, but i'm failing to see why all the love for Vardy???

Vardy out for a few weeks now too.

I'm probably gonna do KDB - Madisson but will wait to see how Madisson fairs in the FA Cup first. Don't want to swap an injured player for an injured player.

11 goals and 8 assists so far, he's very consistent.

Granted its dried up a bit but i dont expect that to continue for long

6 of his goals were penalties but having said that
    -Salah has had 5 pens
    -Bruno has had 6 pens
-Kane has 3, thought he had more

Fair point, used him on my current wildcard but with salahs form, KDB injured and i already have Kane so dont wanna double up with Spurs/Son, Vardy is my next choice for a 10+ Mill player

Well he's out now for the next few weeks anyway

But he is anything but consistent if you watch any of his games - he's rarely involved in the game. A lot of his goals were penalties and came earlier in the Season.

He hasn't scored in the last 5 games, and has some sort of hip injury they need to manage - so he's not play at 100%.

5 of his 11 goals came in the first 3 GW's, so he's gone completely off the boil in last 15 games managing only 6 goals. For his price he should be scoring in every second game at least.

This idea that players being off form but won't last for long is why so many have an overprice Liverpool defender, or have Salah, Sterling, and maybe even KdB - because they will come good eventually... despite not having any form or returns to justify having them.

Hmmmm...with Vardy out, does that mean more minutes for Barnes and him playing up top some games?

Think Perez and Iheanacho would be ahead of him for playing up top. Might see more minutes though.

Of course I brought in Barnes as my free transfer before KDB and Vardy got injured. Balls.

Edit: Which brings me to a decision I need to make. Should I take a hit by transferring out KDB or Vardy, leaving the other on the bench for now?

Have ESR-Son-Fernandes-Barnes all fit in midfield, and Antonio and seemingly DCL fit up front. Which sets me up for a 4-4-2

Taylor is yellow-injured in defence, and my fifth def is a non-runner (Rhys Williams) but I am not going to waste -4 on a cheap defender.

Pep roulette has me wary but I do want a City asset in KDB's absence. Thinking B.Silva or Jesus for now.

EDIT again: I just realised I have the second wildcard option. Sterling and Kane for KDB and Vardy it is :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,136 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

Madison and Kane in for KDB and Vardy at minus four done!
