FWIW latest EC has south Ulster as the sweet spot with around 8cm of snow lying by tomorrow lunchtime

Let's hope Cavan is the sweet spot 😅😅

Snow has increased intensity, colder sections of the road, not exposed to sun during the day, turning white.

    Lamppost in full working order.

Just tuned in. Looks like heavy rain to me at a glance.

EDIT: Actually could be sleet. Yeah pitch level cameras a lot flakier than where the lads were standing.
EDIT 2: Gone to snow now.

Yeah dumbass me could've just turned on the prematch!

A little early to speculate but possible for a little circulation to the system between Gort and Ennis on last few radar frames

How is the 12z ECM modelling this for Dublin?

A few flakes falling east county Galway/Tipp border. Keeping everything crossed that it keeps up and we get a decent bit. First snow of this winter for me!!!

Down to 1.4c here now and the southern arm of the precipitation seems to be getting its act together a bit in the last few frames. I'll be up for a while yet

Accumulation chart out to 3pm tomorrow. Will give a rough idea as to where the bulk of any snow is forecast to occur by this model:

Well that rain and sleet over Cork was a barrell of laughs!! Lol

My thinking is the wind was still southerly and the warmer uppers were passing through.
Am very confident that snow will get its act together here also in next couple of hours as the slightly colder uppers move in!

1-2cm possible for the Broadmeadows Estuary @Kermit but worried it could be sleety, the initial push should be snow but the later stuff might be more of sleet.

At least any snow is looking like it is coming in earlier than was shown yesterday. Wasn't keen on staying up until 4am for a passing shower.
