Looks like we got 4cm to 5cm of snow here in Kilkenny, still snowing but not heavy.

This would make Kermit a very unhappy frog. Very unhappy indeed.

From zero to whiteout in 20 mins. I wasn't expecting anything this heavy. If this rate of snow fall continues and then freezes on top, I'm locked in until Monday at least.

    Where ?

Radar is not portraying this well, right now it's chucking down snow here in Durrow - yet the radar says no!

It stopped here about ten minutes ago , Portlaoise, .

Snow has stopped the last 10 minutes Tullaroan Kilkenny

There is a good covering here

I hope those on the east coast get rewarded for their patience

When it's the next band of precipitation forecasted to cross this way? :)

save the trouble and jazz it up

MET É radar seems to show its positioning well, so I'm going off that. Every other radar im seeing right now already has precip at dublin already which isn't true lol

Think West dublin/S. dublin will do ok tho

Something's telling me that the snow is drawing closer to Dublin. Call it instinct.

At least the reports will be more accurate than the radar!

The radar seems to be filling again once it passes the main mountains, atleast somewhat, especially towards northern arm.

It is not far from the Dublin border now

I have to say, but when all is said and done, and 'on the daaaay' and all other nerve grating cliche gesturing, that the global models once again out preformed the high res models on this little feature.

On/Off showers overnight now, hard to know if there will be anymore organised bands as we are in a very unusual setup where we have a shallow low forming and deepening off western Ireland and moving inland over us.

Looking at the Shannon estuary and there are plenty of showers poised to move up the M7 to give North Tipp, Laois and North Kilkenny a top up if they manage the voyage.

Southern and central Ulster looking decent for snow tomorrow morning, plus another area scooting through the south midlands.

Very sad to report, that I popped outside to take a couple more photos and I think a very light misty drizzle started to fall. There goes my lovely 4cm of snow.
