Very sad to report, that I popped outside to take a couple more photos and I think a very light misty drizzle started to fall. There goes my lovely 4cm of snow.

    Sorry for your loss

    Snowing now in Celbridge

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,015 ✭✭✭John.Icy

On temperature watch, Howth isn't looking the best right now.....2.5/-0.8....probably still close enough but dodgy and wind gone SE

No DPs here but in D9 and at -0.2. Actually dropped the last hour from 0.7.

For now though. Winds been offshore.

    EDIT: Up 0.6c already....now 0.4c!

save the trouble and jazz it up

I think there is some interference gap over Wicklow because rain seems to reappear again magically when it reaches Tallaght on the MÉ radar :pac:

At least the reports will be more accurate than the radar!

I've worked out a fairly useful method when looking at the radar that works pretty well. If it isn't showing returns over you, then it must be raining, and vice versa. Seriously though, I only rarely ever look at the radar these days, totally useless, and particularly for this part of the country given that we still remain under the grip of that utter junk Shannon radar.

Airport was reporting -1c at 22:00 report.

Guy next door made a fatal error, All 4 kids out the back looking skyward with Daddy being bombarded with Q's. Youngest is crying and I heard the phrase ''But you said''. Oh Dear ! Clontarf Dublin.! !

He was probably getting his advice from Askaboutmoney or Twitter. Just ask the aul folk. If Boards was good enough for their great grandparents back in 2005, it's good enough for them now. Never mind any of that fancy fake news stuff.

The aftermath of the snow front is more wintry showers than snow. Looks like the Atlantic fcuked with it. However as it reaches the freezing cold snow fields inland it will stay as snow. Western areas will see sleet and hail at best
