Woke up to fog here with temps hovering around zero. No real sign of melt yet which I am surprised to see but 'compacting' in evidence.

It is compacting here too. I just wonder how long my snow man last. He is six foot tall. Leave your guesses here:pac:

It seems as if a heavy band of snow is going to move into the Dublin area in the next 45 minutes..... From the Irish Sea.

The activity in the Irish Sea is definitely pepping up now and moving back into North Dublin area soon. There could be snow in an hour or so in the east.

Snowing heavily around Newry and Lisburn close to Belfast.

Can confirm its been snowing in Newry since about 5 am. A nice coating of about 4-5 cms so far and it's continuing to snow.

Nothing extra overnight in north Kildare. Still enough to excite my kids but it’s a bit of a sugar dusting rather than anything measurable

Surprised there wasn’t more snow overnight, dark clouds moving in from Irish Sea though, hopefully we might get some more snow this morning in Dublin

From the radar it seems as if there should be some sleet or snow starting around Howth or Malahide direction

Looks like Lambay Island is managing a pasting....but that's only good for the wallabies and Lord Revelstoke!

Snowing heavier now in Waterford City. Could build up a decent covering at this rate.

It would be great if the vertical blob in the sea moved left stopped and started going south. Keep dreaming.

I'd love to see what Clifden is like now, they just had a good 2 hours of an Atlantic streamer

Northern Ireland getting the brunt of the precipitation, getting fed nicely by the Irish Sea. My friends in Armagh getting a serious dumping now.

Oh just a few km from here. Fingers crossed the shower train just off Dub continues it's westward slog :D
