He probably smoked weed and his parents weren't nice to him so he's the real victim in this.

Ye what. He probably smoked weed? What does that even mean? That's like saying he probably drank Guinness.

Whats the most likely sentence here? Whatever it is, Im certain it will be more lenient than the little murderer deserves.

The case has been adjourned to allow the DPP to consider whether to upgrade the charges to murder, effectively. If he is convicted of that he could get a life sentence, although that would probably be reviewed after 10-15 years.

For example, one of the Anna Kriegel murderers was given life while the other was given 15 years, with reviews after 12 and 8 years respectively.

If they stick with the s.3 assault charge the most he could get is 5 years.

Once again showing his true colours in court...

Broken home, troubled teen defence the usual, he will probably get a light enough sentence.
Is there a massive disparity between sentencing in the UK and Ireland? They seem a lot more severe in any of the docs I watch

Ah but his human rights.....hes disadvantaged....blah blah

He didnt think of the victims human rights when he stabbed her.

He knew right from wrong and he should be punished as much as legally possible or it will send the message to other thugs that this is ok.

And his parents should be punished too. A 14 year old roaming the streets with a knife. They failed as parents

The great news for society is when all is said and done he'll be on the streets again in his 20s ready to stab someone else to death.

In a functioning legal system that kid would live out his days in a padded cell.

    Glazers Out!

He should be executed. Nothing you can do with a sick pup other than put it out of its misery.
